Maybelline Super Stay Up to 30HR Wear Lumi-Matte Longwear Foundation

In my opinion, I could imagine this formula probably being good if you have great skin. Otherwise it is a waste of time and money. I have used Maybelline 30H Matte formula since it came out. Always covered any kind of blemishes I had, was sweat proof (im from arizona), and i personally never felt like it was very heavy on my face. I literallg could go swimming in it and it would stay as long as i didnt rub my hands all over my face. This new lumi matte formula just doesnt hit any of the marks the original formula did which is all the reasons why it was my holy grail. This lumi matte formula doesnt cover up anything besides a small slight blemish. Does not give any relief to texture. Does not last very long overall. I dont see why this lumi matte formula couldnt just be an addition to the 30H family, instead of replacement formula? Oxidizes like many mention, get 1-2 shades y than normal.

I really like this foundation. I would compare to Estée Lauder or Haus Gaga. For real, i went to an outdoor wedding in Michigan in June and it held up well into the night. It also makes my face look radiant. Definitely a keeper.

Interesting color. The bottle looked like it was a match, but when I put it on it was too light. It DOES oxidize though so in about a half hour it was back to being my actual skin tone. Coverage is medium. Probably buildable if you don't mind having a few layers of product on you. It spreads really easily - you don't need much. 1-1/2 pumps for my whole face, neck, and ears. Pretty good wear. I would mostly agree with the long wear (I wear my face for about 18 hours a day), but there were a few stubborn spots on my face that broke through, like always. Overall, I'm happy with this. It didn't age me, and that's pretty much my #1 criteria for a foundation - don't make me look older.

I saw so many rave reviews with beautiful results with this product and was excited to try it out. The level of coverage was impressive, especially for not feeling heavy on the skin. I was disappointed to find that I did not receive any luminosity from it, despite my skin prep beforehand. I used it twice and found that even after double cleansing at the end of each day, I began to break out (something that is not typical for me at all). In addition to the breakouts, it made my rosacea flare up so aggressively that my skin was bright red and hot to the touch. I was unable to wear makeup for a week and a half afterwards just in order to get my skin calmed down and close to my baseline. I would caution buyers to beware and use caution if they have sensitive skin.

It is affordable, long-lasting, and gorgeous. It dries down to a natural finish, not too luminous and not too matte. At the price-point it is almost perfect. However, it oxidizes like crazy. I bought my regular maybelline shade which is 112. I have other maybelline foundations in this shade and it is my perfect shade. I applied it like normal and by the end of application I turned into the peanut butter baby. My perfect match became super orange and unwearable. It is such a shame because I know even if I go a shade or two lighter it will still oxidize orange and I am fair with pink undertones.
