Bought this for my trip to Hawaii, and ended up using it more on my boyfriend than on myself. He's got a bald spot so he always has to wear a hat when in the sun, but of course he forgot one on our trip! We decided to test this before going to buy a new hat and we've used it every day for two weeks and there's no redness, soreness, or peeling at all. We've been hiking, sightseeing, and doing water sports, all under the blazing Hawaiian sun, and this stuff has held up great. It makes my own hair a little oily after a few hours, but it's definitely worth it. 1000/10 recommend.
I sprayed some on my scalp to see how it dried, felt looked, etc. It did dry matte for the most part, but it looked like I had lice. I'm not sure if I sprayed to much, I don't think I did. But I guess we will see how it works when I use it at the beach in a couple days.

I am on a medication that makes me very sensitive to the sun, and given that this sunscreen is only SPF 30 and works well for my easily burned scalp, I really enjoyed it! It smells nice and I love the application spout. My only complaint is that it leaves my hair greasy, which doesn't seem like an outcome that a scalp sunscreen should have.

Turned my hair and pillow case orange

I have 3c 3b hair w temporary color .. every summer my hair turns to hay from the sun, salt water and chlorine .. this has helped so much with the longevity of my color and the integrity of my hair!! This has worked so well that I've further invested in hair care products with UV protection. NYM beach babe and IGK Sold Out are two products I use in conjunction with this for maximum protection. This product does work extremely well used alone though to!

I play tennis and often have my hair styled a way where my scalp shows and sunburns there are the worst! I haven't gotten any burns since using this and love it! only downside is where you apply the spray, it leaves your hair looking slightly oily, so keep that in mind if you wanna take beach pics or something like that

Use before heading outside when wearing a hat is not possible

Amazing Sunbum smell. I spray it all over my head/hair but my hair is also shorter than 2". Doesn't irritate my sensitive scalp. I use it when I'm at the pool & beach, and also if I'm going to be outside; sometimes I apply it even when I'm going to wear a hat. Highly recommend. Will be repurchasing when it's done!

Just apply to hair/scalp. Great product.

I used this for the first time on a 8 hour trip floating a river. It got the job done beautifully and is perfect for those who still want a cute hair style while in the sun that involves exposed parts. Perfect for braids!

So turns out this is literally just their sunscreen but in a small bottle. Made my hair feel super crispy and it's way overpriced since it's literally just sunscreen. Not bad but definitely just buy a bottle of sunscreen instead.

I love all sunbum products and so I bought this without hesitation. However I am on day two of heavy shampooing to try to get the greasy residue this left on my head. Even after a wash yesterday my hair still looked wet and felt really gross. I will be returning

If you like Sun Bum's face sunscreen then you have to pair this with it! I constantly burn the top of my head in my hair part and the top of my forehead along my hairline. This stuff is great to apply once you've finished doing your hair and the rest of your face makeup/sunscreen application. I've been using it regularly on days that I spend extended time in the sun and I haven't burned my hair part yet :)
