I am 20 years old, and have had very severe acne scarring. I go to the dermatologist, and have everything from Retina, Tazorac, special cleansers, and sulfar-based lotions (for those of you familiar with dermatologist products). I was so desperate to get rid of my scarring, that I decided to try this to even my skin tone and lighten my scars. WOW! Im only on DAY 4, and my scars are already 35% better! Everyone around me, after DAY 2, started complimenting me on how good my skin looked! (and I wasnt wearing any makeup) The routine I started:(NIGHTLY, after evening cleanse) I get a facecloth and soak it under hot water. I ring out the excess water, then place the towel on my face to open my pores. I quickly pat my face dry with a seperate towel, and then apply the oil generously. I resoak the towel in steaming hot water, squeeze out all the excess water again, and place it on my face (now that the oil is on) and let it steam my face and open my pores to let the oil seep into my skin. When the towel has lost its heat, I do this a second time. Then, I leave my skin AS IS. Let it dry naturally, so that as my pores close up and any leftover oil on the surface remains on the surface or closes into my pores.
I read many reviews and was so disappointed. Used on my legs for age spots from sun damage and also stretch marks on my stomach from pregnancy. The first 3 days was fine, smell was a little strong for me but I was determined to use this 2 times a day and see awesome results like everyone seems to be saying. Well about the 4th day I noticed a rash on my stomach and 5th day noticed it spread brown on the front of my legs and all the way down to feet. Rash also spread around to back of legs and back of knees, & HOLY COW !!!! I had no idea what it was and it kept getting worse and itchy and spreading. The only thing different I could figure out was the oil, and the rash is only in the spots where I applied the oil. I thought... huh, no way! Well, upon further reviews I found a huge group of people describing red itchy bumps that appeared after a few days of use also. So user beware, try on a patch of skin for 4 days or so and see how your skin reacts to the oil. So disappointed people didn't even comment on some of these major sites about some negative things. So please test before using on a large area, especially since I normally never have sensitive or problem skin. Have not used in about 4 days and the rash is still really red, bumpy and spreading, hoping it goes away quickly.

I used this previously, but switched to a more sustainable body oil that costs a little more and performs even better. Yes, Bio-oil works, and is safe for your skin, but as a gasoline by-product that doesn't degrade, it is not a good choice for the planet. There are plenty of other body oils out there with far less harmful ingredients, choose one of those. I like OSEA.

i've been using this product for about 8 years and i love it! i use it mainly to keep my skin hydrated and when i have small acne scars, they start to minimize after consistent use for a few weeks! i use it all over my body as well however, i never notice any difference in my stretch marks, probably because i don't use consistently there. it makes my skin feel soft and glowy and i've also noticed some smile lines i have have minimized a lot since i started using consistently.

Bio-Oil is great product to moisturize your skin. I use daily on my legs and it works great. It evens out skin tone and keeps dry skin at bay. It was recommended after I had laser vein treatments and I have used it ever since.

I got a really bad burn taking something out of the oven and it left a scar. I saw this oil online and decided to try it. I used it almost every day for one month and there is a significant difference in appearance. It has really made it much less noticeable and it definitely lightened up. I don't care for the smell, but that's just a personal preference (hense the 4 stars). Some people may like the smell though. It doesn't absorb super fast, but it does eventually set in after a few minutes. Also, a little goes a long way.

I embarked on this Bio-Oil skincare journey nearly two months ago. I was introduced to it by a friend who saw the condition of my skin and decided to gift me one of the 125ml bottled product. As someone who has been struggling with acne scars since age 11(I am now 21), and the fact that I have oily skin, I was skeptical about this product but it has been a great addition to my routine! I anticipate using this product every time I do my skincare. It is very hydrating and it leaves your face feeling light. The oil isn't heavy, nor is it pore-clogging. it is nice and light with a very pleasant scent. I am yet to see any major improvements in my skin at almost two months in, but I already know I will be using this product religiously for a while. I have, however, noticed a slight improvement in the appearance of my acne scars and I also notice that I have very few new breakouts. I would recommend this product to any and everyone regardless of skin type. it does not matter if your skin is oily or dry, Bio-Oil skincare oil is worth the try! The overall results will take a while, but this product is a must-have in your skincare routine. Not to mention its affordability and its longevity as you do not need to apply much to your face.

I've used this product for a few months now and I have no regrets. I put this on my face after I wash it and it's amazing. It's cleared my skin so much, and when I say I have the most worst sensitive skin I mean it. My skin is also somewhat dry, but this clears it and leaves my skin soft. GET THIS!!!

I just started using this and was really skeptical at first because my skin is really sensitive. I have both rosacea and eczema and this has helped both— my skin retains its moisture throughout the day underneath my makeup and my red bumps are gone! HALLELUJAH! It's reduced my flare ups drastically and it's only been a few days. I'm really impressed and I'm not lying. I've been using The Ordinary's azelaic acid for a while to reduce my rosacea's redness and bumps, but lately it hasn't been working. And I originally just bought this because my skin gets dry during the cold season, but it killed 2 birds with one stone. Super happy. I highly recommend. I hope it keeps doing its job!

As someone who has struggled with dry skin and eczema, this has been amazing. I rarely have dry skin at all and my skin stays moisturized way longer than with any lotion I have had before. I haven't noticed in changes in scarring or stretch marks, but I do love how it makes my skin feel so it gets full stars for that alone.

I used bio-oil all through both of my pregnancies and I didn't have a single stretch mark. I repurchased now that my babies are teens with scars of their own. Works wonderfully and I love the scent.

I wouldn't say that it helps the look of stretch marks or to prevent them, however it's a good oil to use everyday for moisturizer.

I haven't seen any change but I have acne scars that are pretty old maybe that's why it doesn't work but it feels good on the skin I have a question if I use retinol 1% with this skin care oil is it OK or not?

It's just oil…. Have tried it many times… would not recommend to a friend

I have been using daily for 2 weeks and notice a difference already. I wanted something to reduce scars from ingrown hair/razor bumps on my thighs and bikini line. This works! And a little bit goes a long way. Good for my melanated skin.

I am 4 month pregnant and bought this to help protect my skin during my growth. I was pleasantly surprised that this bio oil wasn't as "oily" or greasy as I expected. It's pretty thick and absorbs well. So far it's a keeper, let's hope it protects!

I have a 2mo old and have been using this daily since she was born. I have fresh stretchmarks on my stomach, hips, and thighs. I'm on my 3rd bottle of this (largest size) but have yet to see any results. I keep using it because I'm still hoping to see some change. It's very greasy but smells pleasant. I know old stretchmarks can be stubborn, but mine are fresh and I was really hoping this would help.

I used an entire travel sized bottle before writing this. It has not reduced scarring on my face. It's oily. It does smell amazing, but overall does nothing. Started using it in the ends of my hair, didn't do much.

I love mixing this in with my cetaphil moisturizer. I have eczema and dry skin and this in combination with the cetaphil really does the trick.

What a difference BioOil has made to my decolletage. I rub it on at bedtime. It helps with the wrinkles caused by how I sleep. It feels so lovely. It is a pampering before bed.

This is the best thing I've used for my stretch marks. My old stretch marks were bothering me, and Ive been putting this on problem areas every night and now a few weeks/months later the stretch marks are almost gone/blended into my natural skin.

I have very dry skin so I put 3-4 drops on before my moisturizer at night. Definitely helps with scarring and texture. I use it in the ends of my hair once a week, haven't noticed a huge difference though. I was worried about the smell at first but my skin didn't react any to it. I'm weird about textures so no way I could use it on my neck or hands, but I know it would definitely help with those areas. I've had the tiniest bottle they make since august and I have about 1/4 of that bottle left. I still haven't 100% decided if I want to purchase a new one afterwards or switch to a face serum, like I said… I have incredibly dry skin and the drier my skin gets the more I break out

I purchased this last month and waited a few weeks of daily use to share my review. I use this on my face and hands. It's a perfect face moisturizer if you suffer from extremely dry patchy skin. Right when I get out the shower I rub it on my face before applying my make up. I also apply a few drops at night before bed. A little goes a long way and I have been using it for weeks now and you cannot even tell that Ive used any - bottle still looks full. I also use this on my hands and cuticles, my nails are no longer peeling. Check me out on I.G Nailpolishaddict__2
