After shampooing, thoroughly towel-dry hair to remove excess water.* Brush out hair using a detangling brush or comb, and separate into large sections. Place The Single Shot underneath each section and work it slowly from roots to ends, until the section is dry and smooth. For volume at the roots, use horizontally at the crown. The Single Shot can also be used on dry hair to create a smooth, finished look.

For loose curls and waves, use vertically throughout the hair. For volume at the roots, use horizontally at the crown.

*For extra-thick or long hair, it may be necessary to rough-dry hair with a regular blow-dryer before using The Single Shot.

Not What I Was Expecting, But WOW!!

I purchased in-store because my friend had the Revlon version. She's got pin straight shoulder length hair though, and I really didn't trust it. I go to DryBar usually once a week, and the styles will last about 4 days with dry shampoo. I usually only wash my hair once a week, so it's something that...

Not as good as the Double Shot

I tried the Single Shot because I love the Double Shot but hoped the Single Shot might give me a bit more curl at the ends. It's possible that I could have gotten more curl from the Single Shot if I had been able to tolerate it long enough to really focus on trying to curl the ends, but two design ...

Love my single shot!

I have the Revlon dryer brush which cost much less than this one. It dries faster and gives a sleeker, shinier look. I tried the single shot at my daughter's and fell in love. My hair looks like it did years ago. So much body and bounce! I do use a hair dryer to get it a bit dry before I start. I have had better results with Pantene mousse than styling spray. I use a curling iron on my bangs and to get a bit of a bend at the roots. So for me it isn't a one and done product but the results are phenominal and last. If you're looking for a fast dry that results in a sleek look, go with the Revlon. If you are looking for a more styled look that feels great, get the single shot. Wait for a sale though.

I purchased this product a little over a year ago and it recently started smoking, which was very dangerous! I shipped my faulty product back to the company and they lost my package and refused to give me a refund/replacement.

Ulta is no help

I purchased this item in October. In March it just stopped working and won't even turn on. I know that this not within the normal return window but I thought since the item was defective and clearly meant to last longer than 5 months ulta would help make it right. I'm a long time consumer and this item wasn't cheap. Customer service wouldn't even hear me out. They just kept repeating it was past 30 days. Don't waste your money on expensive items here bc the big corporate company cares more about policies than helping customers.

It was time to replace my Revlon One Step hairdryer. I took a chance on this one in spite of the fact that it's more expensive. What I liked about it is a slightly smaller diameter barrel, and the fact that it's round and not oval shaped. It grips my thick hair well and make styling a breeze. My hair looks better using this one than my previous styling tool.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Expensive but not quality

I have had this for less than a year. Originally, I had the ConAir version and thought I would "upgrade" to the Drybar. It styles and dries nicely until the tips of the bristles come off and scratch your scalp while trying to dry the roots of your hair. I used it on the low heat setting, and it kept losing the yellow tips until they are all pretty much gone now.
