Amazing tan, but not for beginners!

I consider myself to be a self tanning pro. I've tried almost every brand and type of product, you name it, i've tried it. The first time i used this, i was TERRIFIED by the application! Its extremely dark (you will look absolutely ridiculous after you've freshly applied it) and the texture dries to...

A Big NO

This tanner is so dry & hard to work with, very messy, smelly for days after, stains sheets, streaky & wears off quickly. I bought this for the color payoff & violet undertone, but it's just not worth it. I've tried applying it a few different times with differnet methods for trial & error - none of...

VERY STICKY

The color it develops into is amazing BUT: it's very sticky and takes forever to dry down AND doesn't last. I get 2 good days out of the color and then it vanishes. I stand under my ceiling fan for about 15 min and a decent amount of the stinkiness goes down but unfortunately it still feels a little sticky until I wash it off.

Really natural looking on olive skin

This is my first time self tanning. My skin is light/medium olive. This went on really smoothly, and blended incredibly well. I was shocked about it because all the reviews i read online said the guide is streaky. It was a bit sticky while drying, but after it dried it felt fine. I left it on the full 8 hours, though i wiped off my face after 3. I was left with such a beautiful natural looking tan.

Formula change?

I have been using this tanner for years. I bought a new bottle in February and the color is completely different. It is now red and makes me look very orange. This used to be my favorite tanner :(

Not for me

I have used their other tanners and thought I would go all in with this darker option. First it went on weird like it didn't allow you to spread it around it went on in streaks so I just had to paint it in strokes. After having it on for about an hour I panicked because it looked like if you went and got a spray tan and waiting to wash it off so I showered. The next day I developed a rash and was itching randomly all over. Assumed it was this as I had not used anything else. I will still use their other colors just not this one as the others worked great. Ulta was great during the return.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

What happened???

I've used Supreme Violet for three years and it has always applied greenish-brown and developed into a deep olive tone. I opened a brand-new bottle today, and it went on reddish/orange immediately …completely different from the usual cool brown guide color. It looked like red clay. Something has changed. Either this batch is off or the formula has been altered. This is not the same product I've been buying.
