Massage in and you may style as usual immediately after. I've had a great experience with the Nioxin Scalp + Hair Thickening Shampoo. It leaves my scalp feeling clean and refreshed, and my hair looks fuller with more volume. I wanted this to work. My hair dried out and became brittle. My scalp was very irritated and red. Then I lost a bunch of hair. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a form, which I filled out and never heard from them again.
