Swivel up lip liner only 1/8-inch (pencil does not retract to avoid exposing formula to air, which is drying). Recap securely when finished to protect formula.
Follow dot-dot-dash method to ensure ease and accuracy of application: Draw two dots on upper lip's bow, a dash across bottom of lower lip, then connect all three.

I love Clinique products and have been a long time user. I went to purchase my all time favorite lip liner, Tender Taupe, only to be told that it was discontinued. I was very disappointed. Broke on the inside
I bought this lip liner and after just two weeks of use the part that you twist to push the product up just stopped working. This was extremely frustrating because no matter how I twisted it the product no longer would come out and I had plenty on lip liner left. Waste of money
