overly ambitious, but not bad
I have fine, straight hair that can be coaxed to waviness with overnight heatless styles. I exclusively air dry my hair because I shower at night and don't feel like using a blow dryer. I have very healthy hair as a result of the heatless life, but I do use products to help with volume and waviness....

The best I've tried
I've tried a LOT of volumizing products over the years. I have fine hair that tends to be very "flat" and doesn't stay bouncy and full without a lot of effort. My biggest gripe with most volumizing products is the way my hair feels with the product in it. This one somehow gives a lot of body and volume without feeling sticky/dirty in my hair. My hair still feels soft and bouncy with this. If you'd like more volume but want touchable hair, this could be worth a try. I'm rating 5 stars for performance. But I'd knock a star off if I was rating scent… its not bad, just kinda chemical/hairspray scented. Kept my hair volumized all day and easy to refresh for day two hair.
Soft, Silky, Bouncy, AND Voluminous?!
Soft, Silky, Bouncy, Brushable, AND Voluminous?! YES PLEASE!! I am crazy about this one! For reference I have thick, coarse, wavy, naturally dry hair. This was on 21 Days of Beauty. I decided to give it a try b/c of great reviews and I am so happy I did! I first tried it on dry hair - just before hopping in the shower to shampoo. If I hated how it made my hair feel, I wanted to wash it out! It's a pretty wet application. But I ran it thru w/my fingers and let it dry. My hair was SO SILKY silky when I COMBED it thru (before I shampoo'd). I was shocked!! So the next day (2nd day hair) I sprayed it thru my roots and hit them w/my blow dryer brush. Wow! When I can blow dry, brush, curl and STILL have my hair soft, silky, and easy to brush … PLUS volume, bouncy, and hold the style?!?! I am impressed!! This may be a new daily staple for me!! Great for initial blow dry, style. Great hold of volume, body and bounce. Great for 2nd day vavoom!!
What happened to the great scent this used to have?
I love what "Queen for a Day" does for lifting roots and adding body to my hair. But the spray can I received from Ulta online smelled like bad chemicals, and not the fresh smell it has had in all the past years I've used it. If this bad smell is the new scent for it, I will never purchase it again. If it's a bad batch and all future Bed Heads smell fresh and appealing then I will continuee to buy (but I may have to purchase in store to check if it's your usual wonderful scent vs. the bad smelling one from Ulta online)!

Hair Type Straight Hair
I really love this thickening spray for adding some body to my fine straight hair. The spray application is very simple and it makes it very easy to distribute it evenly throughout my hair. A lot of volume products cause me to have static and this spray does not.
