Q
is it good for dry skin or is it mattifying?
Asked by Angie
Official Answer By Smashbox US
Great question! This primer is more blurring than mattifying - it’s lightweight, oil-free, and designed to smooth the look of pores while gripping makeup for up to 12 hours. If you have dry skin, you can definitely use it, but we recommend prepping with a good moisturizer first for the best, most comfortable finish. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
SPF? If not, when to apply?
Asked by Gina
Official Answer By Smashbox US
Thank you for the opportunity to assist! Smashbox Photo Finish Pore-Vanishing Blurs Pores Primer does not provide sun protection. For a smooth, flawless complexion and SPF, we recommend applying the primer first, followed by the Smashbox Halo Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 25.Was this answer helpful to you
Q
I have never had this problem with the other pore minimizer, but after i apploy it, I have to blend it in, or it will literally crumb off my face, and mess up my makeup. Why is it doing that? Are you suppose to put it on and then let it sit for a few minutes? I never had that problem with the other pore minimizer, so it is weird. It like just clumps together and rolls of the face

Official Answer By Smashbox US
Thanks for reaching out! This may be due to the use of excess products. Using a pea-size amount of Smashbox Photo Finish Pore-Vanishing Shine Control Primer on moisturized skin is recommended. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
Q
What is the difference between this product and the Photo Finish Control Mattifying Primer? Their descriptions and purposes seem the same.
Asked by Sierrbear
Official Answer By Smashbox US
Great question! The Pore-Vanishing Primer focuses on blurring and minimizing pores, while the Control Mattifying Primer is better for oily skin thanks to its salicylic acid and stronger oil control. Was this answer helpful to you

Really great primer for everyday use!

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. Smashbox is a makeup brand that I grew up loving, and I remember their primers being well-loved and talked about in the online beauty spaces. Now that I've finally gotten to test one out, I understand the hype. This primer fills and smooths...

I received this as a free promotional gift from influenster. I would maybe buy this primer again. It has no scent and a little goes a long way! I liked the feel on my face and it was easy to apply the makeup after putting this on

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. This stuff was just alright. I dont feel it worked as great as advertised, unfortunately. I feel like it worked okay for pores, but I am a but older and it kind of set funky in my deeper lines and made it to where my makeup kind of settled in those lines. I feel it is better for women with younger less line-y skin. I wasn't much of a fan.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Okay guys, I love the original smash box primer however, I just bought this one and OMG, I'm obsessed!!! Guys, even my husband noticed a difference in my makeup. I just did my makeup with the original primer after using their new one the past couple of days and he was like, "are you back to the old makeup?" Lol. Long story short, this is my new staple primer.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] While I like the texture and how it applies smoothly. I don't really care for this. It pills on top of several of my moisturizers. And doesn't last as long for me in the heat. (Would probably like it better during the colder months with a light look). I can however tell a difference in my pores. This is good for the price.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I trusted smash box to provide the perfect base for me on my wedding day, and I continue to do so now. The new photo finished. Poor vanishing primer is really that Girl. It leaves your skin, looking poor less, and make sure that your make up stays put throughout the day and night. It has a clear finish, so it won't affect the color of your foundation and won't change the color of your natural, skin tone.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
