Use in conjunction with a hairdryer. For straightening, rotate the brush pulling through the hair from root to end, applying heat from a hairdryer. For curling, roll the brush onto the hair and apply heat from the hairdryer, then unroll the brush out of the hair.

I have purchased and loved the other Olivia Garden's brushes, however, this brush didn't work for me. I have medium length hair and the brush worked nicely to style the mid-to-end hair. From the scalp down, it was horrible. The brush got stuck and I needed assistance to untangle the hair. It was a mess.

Not even a minute in and it was stuck, like actually stuck. 40 minutes later and with a second pair of hands and scissors the brush was out. I had to cut the brissels and hair in order to remove it. New fear unlocked. Hope I can return this scalper.
