The mattes are pressed hard in the pan and hard to get on the brush. I really struggled with the two lightest shades because they did not show up on my skin! The colors in this palette turned out to be really light and the 'staying power' was limited. I use primer, but still had to work to build up any color to actually show. I would not recommend this palette, the colors just have no staying power. Two of the shimmers almost mirrored each other which was dissapointing.
