Most Helpful Positive Review So...Worth The Money!!!! As the result of years and years of abusing my fine, thin hair, I started to lose a lot of my hair. I am post-menopausal and that has only added to the horrible condition of my hair. I did a lot of research online: reading reviews, looking at chemicals in many products and watching YouTube videos. So much of my research lead me to the Olaplex Line of Products...again, and again and again. I have 2B hair and only B not A because of the crazy way my grays are growing in. The first month I started with No. 0 & No. 3 in a kit. I was impressed by the way that my hair suddenly became so soft and smooth. The next month, I splurged on the No. 4 & No. 5 (the shampoo and conditioner). Nothing remarkable here. I just felt that I should be using the whole line to be consistent. I want to give it time to see how my hair reacts to it. Then the 'Game Changer'; I bought No. 6 & No. 7!!! No. 6 is a Bond Smoother and No. 7 is a light oil. I had big problems with flyaway hair last winter and nothing I bought really helped. This first time I used No. 6 & No. 7 I put about a dime size amount in my palm and mixed in about 5 drops of the oil. My hair was instantly shiny and smooth. It was just amazing!!!! I am now retired, so I have time to take care of my hair. I use little hairspray and am opting for a more blunt and smooth look. (This from a former 80's, Big Hair, massive hairspray Queen.) It's taking time to get used to, but day by day, I'm coming around. The biggest thing I have noticed is that I would get a big ball of hair in my wide-tooth comb every time I washed my hair. I only was 2 times a week. Now, I get 10-15 hairs!!! This amazes me. I could go on and on about this line, but I'm probably already over my allotted words. To sum up my review, if you can afford only one of the Olaplex products (as each item costs about $25-30), choose No. 6-the Bond Smoother Cream. You will notice instant results the first time you use it. Olaplex has saved my hair!!! P.S. Could Olaplex develop a hairspray that has more natural/healthy ingredients? I just need a little spritz of something. (Old habits never truly die!)
Most Helpful Critical Review Very disappointed overall I heard SO much hype about this company and was excited to try it out as my hair was damaged by chemical processing at a salon. However, I'm Very disappointed overall‚ I bought the full recommended products for my hair and some extras as my hair is really long‚ based on their quiz‚however my hair is so now MORE dry and frizzy from it‚ Worse than it was before! The only product I felt was nice to use was the shampoo because it felt very moisturizing and didn't feel like it stripped my hair‚until I added the conditioner‚then after rinsing it my hair felt so dry and crunchy! I also am not impressed with the smell of the products. I like my hair to smell really good and last‚ but this doesn't do it for me. Each product smells different and you can barely smell them.. and I don't like mint smell in my hair products unless it's a clarifying product. The other thing about this company I was not impressed with was their lack of customer service! If you buy from the company directly and need to return your products for a full refund, you have to mail it all the way to California and you have to pay for shipping and also don't get your initial shipping cost returned! And then you have to WAIT till they get it in the mail before they refund you anything‚ There needs to be a better system where you can initiate a return and get a shipping label. To return it, like all other companies do now in this age‚very backwards. Won't purchase this again and especially not from them!

I've been using the No. 7, but wanted to try something a little more intensive for my long, moderately thick, wavy hair. I had years of damage due to hard water/bad pipes - my ends were dry and frizzy and my waves lacked definition. I added a water filter to my shower to prevent further damage (and HIGHLY recommend it), but wanted to help repair my hair too and by gods this did the trick. I (and my friends) could see and feel the difference after using it less than a week. The first few washes I used closer to 2-3 pumps, but after 1-2 weeks my locks needed less. Your hair will drink No. 6 up if it needs it, but will get a little greasy if it doesn't. I've used it on dry hair and damp/wet, and find both effective, just be sure to apply it evenly. I love this product and have recommended it to many people.

Not impressed. Period 1

Splurged on a suggestion from an employee and it's as if I am not wearing any product at all. My hair is still frizzy. Flyaways. Not sure what it smooths. My hair is pretty low maintenance and for this price, I was expecting minimal frizz. Not the case.
Not for me 1

I followed instructions and made my hair oily. I don't understand what the hype is about.
This stuff is Amazing 5

I use to just use this finger tipped to my partly blown dried hair partly dried and it was really a good way to get smooth healthy look. But lately I run it threw my full wet hair before I put my other styling products in. I was afraid it would be too heavy, but make sure you use very spearingly. Oh wow what a game changer and it's like a healthy head of hair even better! I have highlighted and lots of spray/product and use hot curl iron to style and it it fabulous even better!

Used this once and I can already see a difference in my hair.
A helpful addition to my Olaplex lineup 5

I started with #4 and #5 and I keep adding! Olaplex #6 is a leave-in styling product. It helps manage your hair and keeps it smooth whether you're brushing, straightening or blow drying. I also find that a few drops of the #7 oil, combined with #6, helps give your hair a beautiful shine.
I recommend this product and would buy this product again. 5

I use the #6 Bond Smoother after every #4 shampoo and #5 conditioner. I love how my hair is so smooth and healthy looking.

Works great to smooth out my hair, yet doesn't leave it oily
Minimizes frizz 5
Susan from Vacaville, CA
I use Olaplex 4 and 5 shampoo and conditioner. My hair is wavy and gets very frizzy. This product, used on damp hair after shampooing, lessens the frizz better than other products I've used. This is great for de-tangling and softening my hair. When they say it last 72 hours, they are right. After that, I need to shampoo. I'm a fan and will repurchase.
Product does what is shown. Would buy again. 5

I use the product on wet hair before drying. I also tried the product after drying my hair and was a bit frizzy with fly aways. I used the product on dry hair and then style, works beautifully to control dryness and frizz.

A definite must-have to help tame air/blow-dry fly-aways 5
Caity B93 from Richmond, VA
Absolutely in love with the Olaplex line! I have long, thick, straight hair with cowlicks and lots of fly always. These products definitely tame my fly always (air dry or blow dry) and keep my hair feeling soft and luscious 😻
Didn't do anything for my hair 3
Blondi from Florida
I used this after washing before air drying. Scrunched as usual and clipped up. It offered no hold and was frizzy after drying. Nice scent though
Obsessed!! 5
Jasmine from Michigan
I combined this with some of the Number 7 bonding oil per the oil recommendations & I fell in love!! My hair has drastically changed for the better & isn't drying out and frizzing as much after washing my hair!
My favorite hair product 5
Marisa from Texas
I'm a huge fan of the entire Olaplex line but the no. 6 Bond Smoother is my ABSOLUTE favorite product of the entire line. My hair no longer breaks or frizz. My hair is soft and healthy thanks to this product. I'm on bottle number 9 - that's how much I love this product.

I have really textured coarse hair. And I have extensions as well for length. This stuff smells so good and it doesn't weigh my hair down. My favorite thing about this is that unlike other products, I can use again and again without having to wash my hair right away because it goes on soft. I use with leave in conditioner and a primer, before blow drying. Then after I've styled my hair. Leaves it a bit silky. Basically this product is like a cream version of what gel does. But it's soft and nourishing.
Only leave in conditioner that works for my hair! 5
Jaqueline from Houston, TX
I can literally use the most basic shampoo and conditioner, but as long as I use this leave in, my hair will always feel so soft and healthy! I have extremely dry and frizzy straight hair and this has been the only thing I always stay consistent with in my hair care routine. If I am on a pinch I will always chose to buy this over the Olaplex 3.
Great for dry hair 5
Silgil from Texas
My hair is very dry right now and it works wonders.
I gave my friend a bottle since she has very damaged her and her hair looks smoother and not frizzy.
I really like this 5
Crafty66 from IL
This helps keep my curls from frizzing so much. It doesn't weigh them down, either.
