Not my Dream Product
As a frequent Olaplex user (#3 mostly), I was disapponted in how effective the scalp serum was. I'm not new to scalp serums, as I use one pretty often. I can confidently say that this product was disapointing and I would not repurchase. I already have a dry, itchy scalp with some flakes (no dandruff), and this made my scalp worse. There was an increase in the flakes, as I experienced very little hydration. To make it worse, the smell is terrible. Truly cannot describe it. On the plus side, I love the applicator, and wish my other serums had similar ones. It claims to be lightweight, and that is true. Love Olaplex
I've been using the Olaplex Scalp Advanced Serum as part of my post-wash routine, and I have to say—I'm loving the way my hair and scalp feel after using it. I apply it right after towel-drying my hair, just before blow-drying, and the results have been noticeably positive. I love how soothing this feels on my scalp! My scalp used to feel tight and dry, but this serum hydrates it instantly and leaves it feeling calm and refreshed. In just two weeks, I noticed my hair grew an extra inch, and I even saw new growth on my bald spots which honestly blew me away. It's lightweight, non-greasy, and makes my hair feel soft and healthy. I appreciate the bond-building and microbiome-balancing ingredients, it truly feels like scalp care, not just another hair serum. I would've given it 5 stars, but the smell can really be off-putting. Also, the bottle is quite small for the price. I have been using the scalp longevity treatment Olaplex no. 0.5 on both wet and dry hair, and I am impressed with the effect. The applicator is very convenient to use, so I just spread the treatment on my scalp by massaging it in. And it gives a pleasant cooling sensation. I have experienced occasional irritation from bleaching my hair, and this serum helped me a lot. It immediately hydrates the scalp and promotes softer, healthy-looking hair.
