Great product

I have naturally dry hair. It is sandy brown and I am African American. I purchased this product and the shampoo. I had contacted the company to try to get samples but they did not have samples so I decided to spend my money and try it. I am very pleased with both products. The shampoo has great moi...

Didn't Live up to the Hype

I have tightly coiled Afro textured hair that needed hydration and some protein due to dryness and mild breakage. This product claims to deliver softness, HYDRATION, and "protein power" so I gave it a try. I used this on clarified hair so I could get a true read on how well this works. All it did wa...

Not for wavy hair

Hair Type Wavy Hair

I got advertised this line for my 2B/2c hair and it destroyed my curls and waves. It's far too heavy and the ingredients really build up and weigh your hair down. I was really disappointed because they specifically recommend this stuff for wavies. Take my advice and don't use it. A week after removing Shea Moisture products from my hair care routine and my waves and curls finally have life again.

Fine curly hair needs protein

Submitted 9 months ago

I have to use a protein treatment on my fine curly hair now and then to keep my curls curly. This stuff always does the job, and the price is good. I recommend. Its not too heavy, which i love. So many hair treatments leave my hair greasy. I see some people complaining that its not mousturizing enough, so maybe just add a little of your fave moisturizing conditioner. I sometimes just use fage 2% or 5% food yogurt, but this product is more convenient, less messy, and not so cold.

Not moisturizing enough

I have very fine hair and while this didn't weigh my hair down, it didn't really hydrate it much either. I know this is more of a protein treatment, but I didn't really see any strengthening properties either.

It's a cheap and effective protein mask

It's a great product if you need a hydrating protein treatment. Doesn't have a strong scent, and is helpful with forming curls. The one downside is how this product is stored in a tub. I prefer products in a pump.

I like this product but I don't love it

This deep conditioner really does it's job with quenching your hair when it's dry. However it's not for people with oily hair, it over hydrates for me. I gave this to my boyfriend and he loves it. It really does the job for his curls.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
