I straightened my naturally curly hair regularly for about two months and found that after I wanted to return to my hair to its natural state, I'd damaged it to the point of ruining my curls. I have very little curl left without extensive "scrunching" while wet and after it dries, there is little curl and body. I've found it to be limp and lifeless and although I've used a protein treatment on my hair, I can't seem to restore my curls. Will this help?

This literally is such a good product!!!!! (For context I'm a white girl with fine hair thats wavy 2b/2c) and this product alone makes my hair so soft!!!! This protein treatment works wonders with my hair. I have fine 3a/2c wavy curly hair and I use this to bring back life and spring to my curls. Especially after color or chemical processing, this product is a lifesaver. Also, I see people complain about the smell but I rather like it! I sometimes also mix this in with my conditioner for more slip to the product and then spread it out.
Not for wavy hair

I got advertised this line for my 2B/2c hair and it destroyed my curls and waves. It's far too heavy and the ingredients really build up and weigh your hair down. I was really disappointed because they specifically recommend this stuff for wavies. Take my advice and don't use it. A week after removing Shea Moisture products from my hair care routine and my waves and curls finally have life again.
