There are serious issues with the spring that allows you to open and close the iron to curl. It's like the spring gets too hot, softens, and ends up stuck and the iron won't close all the way to secure the hair. I use the tool the way it is intended. I've used Hot Tools curling irons forever, but they just don't seem to last, so I'm constantly replacing them. The Bio Ionic one was recommended to me by my hair stylist, and although it's a bit pricey, it's worth every penny! It curls my hair SO quickly and the curls hold forever!

Hair Type Wavy Hair
I was between this and the T3. I currently own the T3 iron that you can switch attachments but my 1 inch broke after about 5 years. I decided to give this one a try and it's been great, easy to use with the longer barrel and seems to clamp a bit less tight than my t3 so pulls a lot less hair. Aside from the t3 leaving my hair a bit more smooth looking, I am happy with my choice and hope to get longevity out of this one as well!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I do believe this @bioionic Long Barrel Curling Iron is going to make curling longer hair easier! There is more room for the hair to curl and get hot! It runs down the hair so easily and gets very hot! I was just playing with some curls here with no hairspray. I know they curls are going to be soooo pretty when I style for real. I also love how the cord swivels, making it comfortable no matter how you hold/turn it.

I love that you can lock it and maintain the same temperature without accidentally changing it while curling your hair. I also like that it has a long cord and it really leaves my hair looking awesome.
