Most Helpful Positive Review Good quality I have been using Lancome's lipliners for years and really like the quality of the product. I like how it applies effortlessly and lasts. My complaint is how the end caps split easily and do not stay put. I've had to tape the caps to the pencil just to keep them from coming off, especially while in my purse, which is very inconvenient, not to mention the pencil tip and/or brush tip can make a mess while it gets into contact with whatever it touches while in the purse. I even had one pencil somehow lose the brush bristles while in my purse due to the cap not being intact. I hope Lancome works on better packaging!
Most Helpful Critical Review Le lipstique - please bring the metal caps back! Le Lipstique is a great lip liner - glides like silk, stays put, prevents lipstick bleeding ,and allows you to create several different lip looks. However, the plastic caps are a bust. I gave this product 3 stars and a low value rating because of the caps. They split soon after purchasing the lip pencils, they fall off the pencil and altoghether look cheap. Please bring the metal caps back. I regret to write this but I find it sad that Lancome offers a great product with such shoddy caps. I expect so much better from Lancome. Thank you!

Nice lipliner 5
Luckiesmom from Atlanta, GA
This is the first lipliner that I purchased from Lancome. Very nice texture, goes on matte. Slightly creamy, not sharp & hard like other lip liners. Use sparingly as it goes fast, I have to sharpen it every two days. I would definitely purchase again.
15 years using this lip pencil! 5

Portelle is THE most beautiful natural plum-coloured pencil on the market. I don't know what I'd do if they discontinued it! Been using for 15 years, versatile, classic, perfect colour.

if your wondering if you should spend $30 on a lipliner - stop wondering. the answer is YES. my 3 yr old toddler got ahold of my makeup - and took this lip liner. He drew all over my toilet with it. I grabbed my BLEACH cleaner and started scrubbing. It has yet to come off. I wish I could upload a photo. The STAY of this liner is 100 % worth the money. BUY IT

I have used this product for over 10 years. I use it as my full lip coverage. It gives long lasting full mat coverage. I totally recommend this product.

I have been using these liners for over 10 years because of the creamy application and staying power.

Best of the BEST!! 5

I have two different colors and have gotten refills several times! This lip pencil is so creamy, long lasting, and pigmented! If you want something that's well worth your money and time, buy this product. I have black-brown hair, brown eyes, and a Neutral undertone. The best for my skin tone and complexion has been Bronzelle & Sheer Raspberry.
The answer to lipstick bleeding 5
Patti03 from Tyler, TX
I bought this because my lipstick will sometimes bleed outside of my lips. This prevents that from happening and my lips look perfect every time!
Love and would buy over and over again 5

use invisible lip liner below lip line, then use your regular color lip liner on lip line. Invisible liner keeps lipstick from bleeding into lip lines! Just the best. I used to use Grande Lash invisible lip liner and they discontinued it. Actually like this one much better.

I LOVE THIS LINER ! The shade color is PERFECT and it is soft enough for my 61 year old self. Yes, the tip does break off when I sharpen it, but I don't sharpen it as high as I want it. The pencil lasts a long time and it stays on my lips all day/all evening.
Yes, I would buy again 5

This color and this lipliner has been my favorite for many years and I see no reason to buy anyone else's product. Actually, Lancôme products have been my go to "beautifiers" for over 30 years!
Fantastic Accessory!! 5
CAMonty1 from Los Angeles, CA
I wore lip liner in 1980s (coordinated with my lip colors) when it was fashionable, then stopped when my lip liners ran out. Recently, I decided to try them again because no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't quite "color in the lines" 100% of the time.
I absolutely love this liner. It is so easy to use, and it makes the process of applying lipstick so much easier. I feel like my lips are much more defined and lipstick is a lot more evenly distributed. And since I bought the clear liner, when lipstick fades, the line is not the only thing remaining on my lips.
Fantastic product, I would recommend trying it on for size!

I thought this huge pencil shaped product would have more lip liner than just the tip. How does this work?

Great product w masks. Must let product set. Use brush to smudge, then let liner set. Apply gloss. Done your set!
Love product but not this color 3

I would recommend this product just didn't like the color as it has brown tones in it.
Lovely but cheap packaging 4
BeachGirl18 from New England
Lovely product - I've used Ideal for years. It's a great neutral that goes with everything. I've gone through several and repurchased. Same great product but the new packaging is atrocious. The clear caps make the pencil look cheap and junky. I wish Lancôme would go back to the colored caps that match the pencil.
Dried my lips out 2

Didn't love it. Only wore it once and a week later my lips are still paying the price. I have sensitive skin but this reaction is more than I usually experience.

Great to pair with lancome lipstick.
No different then other lip pencils.... 3

how did skips generations first of all the brush at the end of the pencil is absolutely useless it is too soft and flimsy to do anything of the lip pencil. Instead of that brush they should have replaced it with a sharpener because it is impossible to sharpen this pencil. I have about 15 sharpeners in my arsenal, collected over the years and not one of them did a good job on this. As far as longevity it's no different than any other lip pencil, it comes off after eating, not really smooth in my opinion, kind of dry.
I ordered in 326 natural mauve and for my lip color it is just a tad bit too brownish. Still looking for the MLBB lip pencil.
Great liner! 5

When I tell you I was scared about the sharpening of this thing after I read the reviews... oh boy. I bought this without reading the reviews thoroughly, and didn't start reading them until I realized how entirely how fast the tip wears down. It's a great product and is by far my favorite liner, and I use the clear one the most. That being said, it does wear down super fast, as mentioned. I've found that the revlon universal points sharpener, which I snagged elsewhere online for under 3 bucks, does a decent job at sharpening. It doesn't give it a perfect point, I'm afraid to try too hard to strive for that, but it is certainly a more than usable point. Now that I've quit freaking out over the sharpening of this and wasted product, I've purchased a few more of the colors.
This lip pencil is great. 5
McFinn70 from Asheville, NC
This lip pencil is great. It can be blended just after application, but then sets up and stays on extremely well--with lipstick or just as is. Never creeps into fine lines or looks flaky. Fraichelle matches my coloring and I've worn it for years. If it wasn't pretty perfect, I wouldn't be willing to buy it at the price.
The only problem I've found is that sometimes a segment of the pigment falls out of the surrounding tube--which means it's wasted. Also, the Lancome sharpener is the only thing that really does a nice job of sharpening it, and the sharpener is truly overpriced.
