Not for oily lids.

Though it went on great on the initial application, felt matte, soft and blended eyeshadows just fine, my eyelids were a mess within the first 4 hours of wear time.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Oily Lids- skip it

Tried this based on the reviews. I have oily lids after changing medications so wanted to switch from UD eye primer. This creases for me within 4 hrs? Not sure why the reviews are so high, didn't work for me but was worth trying for the price.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

GOODBYE URBAN DECAY PRIMER!

Love this product so much, it's so easy to work with and it's SO affordable! I wanted to look for something to replace my Urban Decay shadow primer since it's just too expensive for me. I honestly think this jelly grip primer from Essence works just as good for a fraction of the price, I honestly couldn't believe it. Make sure it's fully dried before applying any products though! They are not joking about putting the grip in the name cause the moment I tried to blend out eyeshadow where I didn't place the primer it creates a line so you can tell where the primer stopped lol. Nothing that can't be fixed by adding primer to those parts of my eyes and problem solved.

Shocked

I was genuinely suprised as to how well this works. You have to let it dry down before putting on your eyeshadow. Once it dries the shadows go on and stay on all day. I sweat a lot at work and can sometimes have oily eyelids and the shadows didnt budge. Very impressed.
