I've been experiencing severely dry hair from low iron; dry, brittle and like straw. I have never used a leave-in before and did careful research on finding a lightweight leave-in for my hair situation and that wouldn't leave residue the next day. I landed on this product. I wouldn't say this is my favorite hair product, but there are definitely things I like about it more so then conditioners and other out of the shower hair products. Now the pros. The smell is like a summery scent in my opinion, it isn't heavy or cloying and it smells fruity like grapefruit but doesn't linger too long on the hair after application. It's moderate to heavily fragranced, so bear that in mind (I don't mind that personally and I have sensitive skin). It has a lightweight gel texture, so it doesn't feel heavy on my fine, thick hair and I pretty much forget I put it in after my hair dries so it essentially doesn't feel like there is product in my hair. Next, if I accidentally got any on my scalp it did not hurt, burn or irritate it and I have an incredibly sensitive scalp and skin. Also, the price feels reasonable to me for what you are getting and is a fraction of the price of similar products, sold by industry hair care brands. It's a step up over drug store, but a step down from the $45+ ranged hair products. Results, I've noticed that it does minimize some of the frizz I get, especially if I air dry my hair, and helps lock in the moisture if I don't use too much. The results are definitely not transformational, but I've noticed if I use this my hair feels nicer then if I don't. Now the cons. The fragrance is heavier leaning and could def be a deal breaker for some. I bought this as a leave-in for almost use every time I wash my hair, which now that I've looked into the ingredients more, is probably not a good idea. There is a disclaimer on the back of the product that says to avoid contact with the sun while using the product, as well as for (one or two idk) weeks from your most recent use. It's because it has ingredients in it that are much similar to AHA's and BHA's in skincare - which if you put those on your face, you are supposed to be extra cautious by using sunscreen. If you get this on your scalp and spend a lot of time in the sun, you'll need to use sunscreen or not altogether. Otherwise you're risking getting burned. That's my biggest con of this product. Another con, is that if you use even just a little bit too much, it will weigh your hair down. At least, for me I found. The first three times I used way too much product and it just basically over coated my hair and weighed it down, leading to flat hair. TL/DR: Overall, I like this product and use it 2-3x a week, sparingly out of the shower and have felt like it helps cut down on the frizz and improve the texture of my hair a bit - but not significantly. It hasn't irritated my sensitive skin/scalp. It is moderate-heavily fragranced like grapefruit. THERE IS A RISK OF SUN DAMAGE IF YOU GET IT ON YOUR SKIN AND DO NOT USE SUNSCREEN! Please make sure to avoid your scalp or use sunscreen!!

Hair Type Wavy Hair

Destroyed my hair with bleaching, relaxing, over dyeing etc etc. Had surgery and all my hair started falling out even worse and just dying. This stuff (the whole line of bond stuff) has helped bring my hair back to life!! Highly reccomend, I even use the balm on my toddlers curls every now and again to help prevent damage.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

It was okay. I felt it did an okay job as a conditioner in the length of my hair, but I didn't notice any long term or overall benefits to use. And I found the texture a little too gooey and off putting.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
