As someone who never knew the difference between Bronzer and contour, I was excited to try the R.E.M. Beauty bronzer in order to know the difference. It was giving very spacy-galexy makeup packaging. Upon first use, what stood out to me was the texture of the bronzer. The formula is incredibly smooth and truly lives up to the "satin matte" name. It's a perfect balance, providing a matte finish with just a hint of sheen that makes the skin look alive and not flat matte. The shade Coconut is ideal for my medium/dark skin tone. It has just enough warmth to add a healthy glow without overpowering. It's quite pigmented, so a little goes a long way, and it blends out beautifully, allowing for a nice buildable application. I've used it both for a soft, natural look and more sculpted, defined makeup days, and it's performed wonderfully in both scenarios. The staying power is impressive too—it lasts throughout the day without becoming patchy or fading unevenly, which is a big plus in my book. Another aspect I really like about this bronzer is how it feels on the skin. It doesn't feel heavy or cakey, and it hasn't caused any breakouts, which can be a concern with some face products.
