Underwhelmed by the performance, overwhelmed by the scent.

I really wanted to like this hand mask, but find myself feeling very "meh" about it. It was fun to try, I guess, but I wouldn't repurchase. The good: -Definitely could get two used from them. There's quite a lot of product in the gloves, and it stays nicely well-contained. Easy enough to fold the t...ops down and secured them with an elastic for later. -Did a pretty good job of softening some skin that was thickened on my fingertip from a mostly-healed injury. -Less messy than I expected. Felt capable of still doing things with them on. Not uncomfortable. The unfortunate: -The scent. Holy moly, the scent. I like scented lotions and things, I'm a little picky but not usually too bothered by fragrance with a few exceptions. This was so overpowering. At first it was a little unpleasant but I stuck with it for the benefits of the product, but I used it right before bed and it literally woke me up at one point with a headache. I had to get up and wash my hands. This morning it was still lingering and I had to wash them again before I could eat anything. -Getting the gloves on was an adventure and a half. Opening them was a challenge, and I wished that I'd just snipped off the seal with scissors. I had to separate the opening by pinching and tugging at the gloves themselves, like trying to find the right way to open a static-y trash bag. There seemed to be no easy, clean way of opening them. The tab for the stickers to seal them to your wrists says "open," so I thought it was the way to open them. It was not, and that gave me some trouble keeping the sticker tabs free while actually opening them. I ended up putting hair ties on my wrists to keep them closed because I got lotion on the stickies. It was, I'll say, a little annoying. -Actual product performance was not really better than using a nice lotion. I've gotten significantly more effective results from slapping on some plain Vaseline, maybe with a serum under, and standard lotion gloves. Maybe if this mask had an exfoliating property I'd have been more impressed. Overall, it was... fine. I like that I tried it. I won't try it again.
