Summary

The perfect hybrid, a between shampoo and co-wash, Hair-Wash is a lightly foaming, sulfate-free, gentle shampoo inspired by gentle milky skin cleansers for your face. This soft, silky, moisturizing shampoo reliably cleanses without stripping your hair and smells like a bowl of cereal milk.

Benefits

  • Milky Soft: Milky soft texture that gently foams
  • Sulfate-Free: Bread Beauty Supply uses a cleansing ingredient that gives a clean but silky finish for easy detangling

Key Ingredients

  • Aloe Vera: Calms the scalp and deposits essential vitamins and minerals
  • Argan Oil: A rich emollient to moisturize and soften strands
  • Lemon Tea Tree Oil: Helps to soothe and rebalance the scalp

Formulated Without

  • Silicones, Sulfates SLS & SLES, Phthalates, Formaldehydes, Parabens, Formaldehyde-Releasing Agents, Mineral Oil, Coal Tar, Hydroquinone, Triclocarban, Triclosan, Oxybenzone, & Retinyl Palmitate

Apply your hair wash at the roots. This can be done in sections if your hair is dense and you find it hard to get products on every part of your scalp. The nozzle on hair-wash can help to precisely direct product exactly where you need it, including the very back of your head and the nape of your neck.
Hold the ends of your hair with one hand, and scrub at the scalp with the other. Use force, but be gentle. Only use the pads of your fingers, not your nails.
Glide hair-wash down your strands, repeating this motion to make sure you wash buildup off your strands, too.
Rinse. Double cleanse if needed, and then follow with BREAD hair-mask.

Water, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Glycerin, Quaternium-80, Cetrimonium Chloride, Aloe Barabadensis Fruit Juice, Decyl Glucoside, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Leptospermum Petersonii Oil, Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Fragrance, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil

not for me, but still a Yes

this wash smells exactly like fruity pebbles. it is light, and actually the performance, texture, and smell actually remind me of one of the seasonal scents from the philosophy's purity line. or maybe the original smell with a fruity twist. not to mention it is as gentle on the scalp and feels just ...

Smells amazing but does nothing

I purchased the Wash Day Essentials kit last summer and just opened the shampoo and masque up a couple of weeks back. I tried this twice and truly hate it. The shampoo smells like lemon pound cake. It's very intoxicating and the only reason why I continue to use it is because it smells absolutely am...

Equonna's Bread Gentle Milky Cleanser Review

Submitted 26 days ago

By Equonna

From Shreveport, Louisiana

Hair Type Wavy Hair

The Bread Gentle Milky Hair Cleanser scent is like donuts. The texture and nutrient oil comes from argan trees native to Morocco. The hair cleanser is creamy with moisturizer. That is a hair care treat and made my hair feel rejuvenated and hydrated.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I love this cleanser. gives that squeaky clean feeling without my hair feeling like hay in the shower and my hair is so much more soft and smooth when dry! my only complaint is I run out of it quicker than I'd like!

Smells O-mazing

Ok so first off this smells like a bowl of cereal milk and I absolutely LOVE it but my skin is sensitive and this does irritate me a little bit. It does a decent job of cleansing my hair considering it is sulfate free. I do use wetline gel to style my hair and I dont feel like my hair is as clean as it could be after using this. I do like that it helps define my curls though and it does get it clean but I'll definitely need a clarifying shampoo weekly. I dont find that I have to use a lot to get my hair clean which is nice and it doesn't sud like traditional shampoo but there is a little bit of a lather to it. I would definitely keep it in my rotaioj but wouldn't rely solely on this. Compared to other shampoo in this price range…its good but not great. Try it and make your own decision on it. It's not horrible and ice received a ton of compliments since switching to this brand. My hair is 3c/4a medium texture/porosity and waist length for reference.

Great New Wash Dupe

Great dupe for Hairstory. If that's the kind of method you enjoy using on your hair (no poo method/curly girl method), highly recommended. Also, it smells like fruit loops! Love it. It's good if you exercise a lot and sweat but don't want to strip your hair either.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
