Starting at the base of lashes, sweep mascara up and out. Apply a second coat for added fullness and length. Build mascara while the product is slightly damp. For best results when layering more than one coat, do not let the product dry completely.

Bad eyeliner. Not worth the trouble.
Will not sharpen without breaking off chunks inside sharpener. Does not smoothly apply to skin. Instead it gaps then leaves thick smudges, so no smooth lines. Irritating. Bad product.

High price, Big name, Low reward
I don't know if its the formula so much or just the brush or combination, but I've got better mascara at drug stores. Smash box has had some good stuff, especially foundation and concealer. This product is not one of them. The brush is huge so you'd think you'd get at least volume out of it. For the price I would absolutely recommend not getting this product. I've bought it twice through the years in full size and got one travel size in my ipsy bag and every time it disappointed.
Love the mascara, just not the brush
I love the mascara but the brush is too big. I'll stick with Superfan next time which has a smaller brush.
Great but not for beginners
I really love the Greige shade, it's a nice base. This driew so incredibly fast though!! I cant even squeeze it out onto my hand and pick up with a brush because it dries so fast, theres no time to blend it. I have to squeeze it out directly onto my eyelid and immediately blend. Its also very hard to squeeze out of the tube. It's beautiful and lasts all day but its hard to work with.
