It's too early to tell if the minoxidil treatment works. Although the shampoo and conditioner work great, the minoxidil makes my hair dull and gives it a different feel. Even though I'm a guy, I like the Virtue line of hair thickening products so I have been trying this version or topical minoxidil. It goes on easily and doesn't leave my hair looking greasy like when I briefly tried the Rogaine products 20 years ago. Still too soon (abt 6 weeks) to see a difference. I hope it works. My only question is the odd scent. I know it is supposed to be unscented but it briefly has a faint weird smell, but that goes away quickly.

Does this product contain a DHT blocker?

It works by shortening the resting phase (telogen) and prolonging the growth phase (anagen) of the hair cycle and increasing blood flow to follicles — but it does not inhibit DHT like finasteride, dutasteride, saw palmetto, etc.Was this answer helpful to you

I have loss of hair growth due to scalp picking which caused lots of damage/injury to my scalp. The hair in this area barely grows now, will this product be effective for this type of hair loss? I see that it says it's best for people who have hair loss due to hormones or stress so I don't want to get it if it won't work for hair loss due to scalp damage.

Ive read this is very toxic and even deadly for cats. I will be safely storing away the capped bottle and I dont plan on my cat licking my scalp but what other precautions should i take?
