For some reason I always put these type dry sponge cleaner in my carts and cut it when I need to cut down the price of my order (I gasped at 200 bucks so I start removing stuff I went ham with). I have done that with several high end price of this type thing and even ULTA version. But because I was trying the just eyeshadow pallete and needed to spend more to use the coupon I decided I will try just version since its way easier of a price. Omg I love it. Works really well with this one eyeshadow brush that I haven't cleaned in forever and packed with versions of taupes and browns because I didn't have time in morning and also whatever new brownish shade I used with just enhance what I already had packed in this brush (yes I'm gross but it's real life darn it!!!). So I used this brush to clean and swirled 3x and its "clean" as in all the colors gone!!!!!! I didn't even see product up in the bristles where I know I would have had to wash to get it out (paper towel swipes weren't getting it out since it was higher up). So do it!!! Buy it, try it and take a chance!!! It's a nice light weight tin and fun to use daily. I can't attest to longevity of the sponge or how it cleans but so far I am so so so happy with my score.
It took off someeeee eyeshadow, when I say some I mean such a little amount and took legitimately four minutes to do so and there was still so much left on it. Not worth it at all. When I say the brush cleaner is legitimately just a black wiring sponge , that's exactly what it is. No product in this can. It also broke off atleast four hairs from more than one brush. Don't get it. If you want it just go buy a metal sponge lol

I absolutely love this brush cleaner, such an easy way to extend the use of your makeup brushes. It's best used for switching in between different eyeshadow's.

I get the point of this product, however it doesn't really clean off the product that well from the brush itself. The image it advertises where it has a dirty brush, and then a clean one is false. I have tried with all different brush types, shapes, pressure to apply to each brush, and it doesn't really work all to well.

The product was only available online. When I received it it was an empty can without the sponge. This is so unprofessional for Ulta. Truly disappointed.

It's good to clean the brushes quickly. But it's not good to just use instead of actually washing your brushes due to bacteria. I recommend washing your brushes every once in a while. But I recommend using this all the time so you don't have to waist time by washing your brushes after every use.

I usually use 4 or 5 eyeshadow shades per eye look and this cleaner makes it easy to clean extra shadow off your brush to prevent it from mixing with the next shade you use. I use this every time I do my makeup and it's a great way to keep brushes pigment-free between washing. It also works great with dark shadows! I can usually wash one of these a few times before the mesh breaks down and I get about a year of daily use out of each one. I feel like J.Cat is a hidden gem. This brand has some really great products!

I love this little thing to use between color swatches. Seriously, just buy it. It'll save you trouble of using a piece of tissue paper to clean the brush during application!

I had been wanting a product like this for a while. This is great for the price. It allows you to remove pigment from your brush quickly so you can change to a different color.

This is so easy to use and so effective. When I was done using it, I just took out the little sponge thing and shook it out and emptied the tin and it was fresh again .It was great to be able to use with high pigmented shadows and switch to use for another color with the same brush.

I mainly use when switching shades on a brush but not necessarily to clean them. It works really well

I've been eyeing this for months but wasn't sure about it. It works perfect to clean off shadows on the days I only want to use one brush. I think people get these color switches and try cleaning their bigger brushes and then claim it don't work. The whole purpose for these is to use on shadow brushes in between washes.

I love this thing! I like to use a lot of vibrant shimmer shades in my eye looks so my brushes are typically pretty dirty after one color. I normally use a paper towel to clear off my eye brushes between colors, which really only got the job halfway done, but this thing is great! I don't feel like I have to deep clean my brushes between looks with this. 1000/10 would recommend!!

It works well to get colors off the top layer but after using it for a week you need to clean it because the colors build up on the filter and is harder to use.

I think this brush cleaner is probably great if you do a lot of eye makeup looks, but for other things like foundation or concealer it's not that great. I got this in my boxycharm so it's not like I went out of my way to buy it. I don't do eye shadow or any of that very often so this wasn't a huge sell for me.
