Most Helpful Positive Review You need something for your super fair ladies. I heard about this product through an awesome YouTube guru (emilynoel83), and I thought that i had to give it a try. It arrived in the mail recently, and I've only used this product for two days, but I already know that it's the God-sent foundation for me. I'm turning 22 in November, and have been searching for the ideal method of covering my acne for almost a decade now. I finally found it in this product. It's perfect. It's not cakey, it's extremely long-wearing, it doesn't permit my skint o get oily, and the coverage is absolutely unbelievable -- just a few dabs with a flat-top kibuki brush, and I'm covered, confident, and gorgeous. I have terrible, angry, bumpy, red and purple acne all along my jawline and down my neck -- and it all disappears with less than a pea-sized amount of your product.
UNTIL I STEP INTO NATURAL LIGHTING. Then, I turn into an Oompa Loompa. Creamy Vanilla? No, babes -- I'm a glass of milk, ok? Creamy Vanilla is WAY too neutral for me.
I wear Cool Bone in your Double Wear formula, which is my perfect shade. There HAS to be a matching shade in this particular formula. Come ON, Estee Lauder. There is NO comparable substitute on the market for this product. I ACTUALLY want to weep because it's THAT devastating and theatrically ironic. I search for over a decade for something that will cover my acne beautifully and make me feel empowered... I find it... But it's not in my shade.
Don't alienate your fair-skinned clientele with problematic skin. We, too, exist, and WANT to be excited about your life-changing -- because they are life-changing -- products. Bring back Creamy Ivory, Estee Lauder. I believe in you.
Most Helpful Critical Review So disappointed pale shades have been discontinued I bought a tube of this maybe five years ago, and I'm just now running out. I'm extremely pale with dark circles and hyperpigmentation. I've been using Estee Lauder Double Wear in Shell for years, but have not tried the new formula. Reviews are discouraging.
I use Double Wear Maximum Cover Camouflage in conjunction with my foundation on areas where I need extra coverage. On days when I need extra cover everywhere, or just want a really flawless porcelain-doll base, I simply use Maximum Cover as my foundation. The staying power is amazing and the coverage unparalleled. If I really want to look airbrushed, I mix it with a red pigment and use it as a blush. That way, I'm sure of looking exactly the same way at the end of the day as I did at the beginning. It just does not budge, and I'm always stunned to get a glimpse of myself in a mirror during the day and see how bright, clear and polished my complexion looks.
This stuff really does have a kind of soft-focus effect. My imperfections are completely hidden and My features pop. It is thick, but I find it creamy, velvety and easy to blend. I don't use it around my eyes, because I have a ton of fine lines, and this accentuates them. But I use it everywhere else, especially my cheeks and chin.
Now for the bad news: my color ("Very Light") has been discontinued. In an era where tanning is falling out of vogue for health reasons, and most high end makeup brands are beginning to cater for very pale skin tones, I can't understand why Estee Lauder is going in the opposite direction. There's no reason why Maximum Cover shouldn't be a cult beauty product. You can do so much with it, blending with a moisturizer for less coverage, or building it for more. I don't understand why it isn't more famous, and why Estee Lauder is reducing the spectrum of shades to make this product inaccessible to the porcelain-skinned beauties who (according to the internet) absolutely adored this product.
I honestly don't know where to find another product like it, and I'm pretty fed up with Estee Lauder. They're beginning to seem old-fashioned. I think I'll have to leave Estee Lauder to my mother and go for rival brands that do cater for all skin colors and modern tastes.

Run and get this girl! 5

The best full coverage foundation I've ever tried. So much so that I didn't even need concealer for any of my dark spots— like none!! I've used Ester Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place foundation for about five years and have always liked it in conjunction with a concealer. But now being able to remove one step from my makeup routine (because lazy girl!) and one less product on my face is awesome. Go out and get this seriously!!
New Favorite foundation preference! 5

I was skeptical about this foundation because I used the glass bottle of Estée Lauder and it was EXTREMELY oily and didn't give me any coverage. I tried a different route and purchased this one from Estée Lauder and yessss girl yesss 👏🏼👏🏼 way to bring it back and take back all my regrets of ever purchasing Estée Lauder because it provided and gave me exactly what I wanted! My new foundation will always be this now. I freaking lovveeeee it 💓

Have never found a foundation with this kind of exceptional coverage. But it does not feel heavy on your skin. Love it!
I recommend this product to hide dark spots or melasma. 4
LivLovLaf from Arizona
I bought this product for the purpose of covering my dark spots and melasma in the cheeks area. Very happy with the coverage, and how it lasts all day. It doesn't feel cakey, even in hot Arizona weather. If you're considering purchasing for the same purpose, I do recommend, it's worth the price!

I normally use kat von dee however I dont know if it was my weight gain or if it was not being in the sun and sitting at home since covid it jist doesnt look good on me anymore. I tried morphe for full coverage and that was awful. I havent taken a decent photo for over a year nowm I finally turned to estee lauder for my skin care and decided to give this a shot. I am highly impressed! For the first time in a over a year I took a photo and loved it! I was finally able to take a pic woth my kids and smile after looking at it! I was in vegas heat sweating on the strip and took a picture perfect photo like I had just done my make up! I am sticking with this as long as they keep it in stock! You cant go wrong with it! I used estee lauders loose powder with thia foundation. OMG the loose powder is softer then baby powder! Both this foundation and their loose powder is beyond perfect!!! You cannot go wrong!!! I had no issues removing makeup woth the estee lauders take it away makeup remover lotion. I am never using anything else!

This product was recommended to me by the sales person for a cluster of broken blood vessel's that I have on my nose. It is by far the best coverage that I have ever seen. I do only spot it on my face not my whole entire because it is a little heavier
I love this product! It's is light weight and lasts all day 5
Karlie from Hampton, Virginia
I have dark spots and this foundation covers them up nicely.
UNbelievable 5
n2EL from St. Louis MO
The coverage is UNbelievable!! I moisturize my face let set in for 15 or so minutes, then I apply Estee Lauders CP+r Wrinkle Lifting/Firming Serum. Let set for 5 min. otherwise too soon and it will pil. Then I apply makeup. Let set again and I put a very light layer of Estee Lauder powder makeup. All my scars disappear. You will not be sorry you tried this
Amazing!! 5
Michele Southern from Greensboro, NC
Don't know why I had never bought this before, thought I owned every piece of Estée Lauder, but I am SO glad I did!! The coverage is amazing!! You do have to work fast with it but that wasn't a problem!! Love, love it!! Will be my new go to every time now!! Even the south's humidity didn't affect this stuff!!
Could have been 5 stars 4
Symone80 from Florida
It's a pretty decent maximum coverage concealer. Super matte. However, I feel that the shades tend to fall on the lighter side. The shade I ordered was so light, I looked like a mime... I contacted Estée Lauder and they were great about it. They refunded my money without any hassle. They told me to just keep the product. Which even though it is so light, I have been using it as concealer under my eyes. Works GREAT for that! If it had of come in a shade that could have worked for my whole face I would have given it 5 stars.
Holy Full Coverage Batman! 3
Kelly from Healdsburg, California
I was amazed by how much coverage this foundation provided. They weren't kidding when they said it was maximum coverage! This stuff hid every pore, red spot, and imperfection with a tiny amount of product. Unfortunately, it seemed to dry my face out after 6 hours of wear. I was disappointed to see the patchiness on my forehead, where the product was starting to separate. Chalky looking makeup- not cute. I did use a primer and moisturizer before application as well as a setting spray afterward. I also thought that the color was quite a bit lighter than the regular EL DW foundation. The shade Ecru is usually a little dark on me in the original DW, but it was too light in the DW max coverage product.

Cakey 1
Patrice from State College, PA
I have enjoyed Estée Lauder's products for many years.
However, this maximum cover leaves a cakey look on my skin after using. I will not use it again. It was also very hard to remove with estee,s perfect clean soap. I had to scrub with a wash cloth. Will not use again.
Disappointed,
Not good for blending 3
TLP from Melbourne, FL
Full coverage, but it didn't blend with my skin tone. It looked very unnatural and I could still see dark areas from my melasma

I have tried many foundations over the years, and this one has taken the lead as my new favorite! It covers everything and a little goes a long way. It gives you a matte, velvety finish. So prettyand long lasting wear. Try it! It won't disappoint you.
