For the first time, I'm EXCITED to write a review!!
I need to start by talking about my hair. I have longer (about 5 inches below my shoulders), thick, fine hair. Because of this, most hair products leave my hair greasy, limp, lifeless and feeling dirty. Typically, I use a color protection shampoo & conditioner, and the tiniest amount of a leave in treatment (think smaller than the size of a chap stick cap) and only on the ends. I usually let my air dry the majority of the way, and use a blow dryer the rest of the way. I do use a flat iron or curling iron 3-4 days a week. I've been working on growing my hair out so I can donate it, and I have about an inch to an inch and a half left to go before I can cut it. Because of that, my ends have been looking less than their best. I've tried several different products and nothing made them look better and just ended up making my hair look dirty.
When I found this product, I hesitated because of the higher price tag. But because I received the "Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask" as a freebie from Ulta during my birth month and LOVED it, I figured I would try it. And with Ulta's return policy, I figured I had nothing to lose. I wish I had found this product earlier! The scent is incredibly light, but dissipates quickly once in the hair. I put a few drops in the palm of my hand (few drops did wonders) and smoothed the product from the area where my ponytail sits down to my ends on towel dried hair and combed it through. Initially, my hair felt "heavy" and weighted down as most oils do, and I figured this would be another dud for me. But as my hair dried, the heaviness went away. Once I dried and styled it, I was shocked how soft my ends were. Even my husband commented how my hair looked different and felt amazing. I've used this almost every day for the past week and a half and my hair still looks amazing. It's never looked greasy or dull. It's still so soft and the ends look less and less damaged. This is absolutely a product that will stay in my rotation. I'm not sure what the dried flower in the bottle is there for, but it makes it pretty at least. This product, to me, is worth the cost and a little goes a long way.
I was browsing for an oil for my hair after a sample of the Gisou honey oil literally worked miracles on my dry split ends. Let's be honest though.. it's hardly affordable. Anyway, bought this one as an employee recommended it as the best hair oil she has used. She asked if I prefer an oil that would sit on top of my hair, or one that my hair would absorb. Chose the latter, of course you want your hair to absorb it, right? Well, unfortunately this oil was just not it- at all. My hair ended up greasy, weighed down, and somehow even more dry, 'crunchy', and frizzy. I have a lot of hair so I used 3 drops, working into my ends then finger combing the excess through full length. It felt a bit sticky when rubbing it together in my hands, and didn't spread well or feel smooth and silky. Although my ends are dry from my balayage, my hair is pretty healthy, bouncy, and shiny overall. It has tendencies to tangle, though. I normally just use a little leave in conditioner and it's perfect. The fact this oil left my hair feeling substantially worse was disappointing to say the least. Can't recommend this if you have similiar hair, sorry! ☹️
So to start, I have very fine thin, low porosity blonde hair that is waist length. My hair has and will always be very dry at the ends but oily at the roots. I purchased this product and have been using it for months but I have not seen any noticeable improvement. The only positive thing that this product provides to me is extra shiny hair, but to the point where it is almost greasy looking.
I would not recommend this product for anyone with my hair type. I believe this product is too thick for my thin hair, as it weighs it down a lot.
I have tried everything but I always come back to this. I only use a bar type of shampoo and conditioner and this and I can leave it curly or it lets me use really high heat to straighten it and it looks healthy and sleek. I saw an influencer talk about it over a year ago and I went through one bottle and am on my second. It is very worth the price!
I've read a lot of great reviews, and saw it won an Allure beauty award, so I decided to give it a try. Well, I'm glad I did. Within just a couple days of use, I saw and felt a big difference in my hair and the texture. Love it! Need it!
Bought this because of the great reviews and the little flower in it lol. When I first used it I was trying to convince myself that it was good but no matter how much oil I used it would not hydrate my hair AT ALL! it just left my ends looking oily and still dry as heck. I seen a comment on here about how this oil only works for high porosity hair and I'm so glad I seen that so I know it wasn't just me. I'm definitely returning this. It did nothing for me! It would make sense if briogeo put ON THE BOX that it's best for high porosity hair!!!
I sleep with this overnight with my satin hair cap and it makes the biggest difference. Def worth the price.
