Impressive
I had a recent salon visit and asked my stylist to recommend a good Chelating shampoo for hard water (iron, calcium) and she pointed me toward this one. It was a bit of a splurge, but having loved other Joico products, I did already trust the brand. After one use, my curl and shine are back! I was so impressed that I gave some to my cousin to try. Her hair is lighter, so the iron build up was more obvious. I was stunned to see how much her color was restored, also with one use. I have used so many clarifying shampoos through the years that claim to help with hard water, including Malibu (shampoo. The crystals are still the best thing for this purpose, but they are inconvenient) and no other has worked so well for mineral build up from hard water. The lather was luxurious, the scent was great, and it left my hair so soft without drying. We are both now hooked. Its a little pricey, but well worth the investment. It will have a place in my routine from now on!
Restores volume
Ive been using this product for a year. I suffer from super oily hair and constantly have flat hair. My hairdresser recommended this product to remove buildup and provide lift/volume to my roots. I was amazed how much it removed buildup without stripping or drying out my hair.

Hair Type Very Curly Hair
This shampoo not only removes unwanted substances, it does so without stripping or affecting the hair pattern. As something of a doyen when it comes to clarifying and chelating shampoos and dealing with hard, iron-filled water, I can say that the only other product that comes close to this one is the Malibu line. Even so, I highly recommend trying this product. My dry, aging, brittle, 2B hair is soft and shiny using it just once per week. No shedding, no chemical feeling, nice smell, residue free, provides body and... a little goes a long way, providing a great sulfate-free lather. Excellent stuff!
