This is my first time trying the new curly foaming gel, so far so good. Doesn't weigh my curls down! Light but gives great definition!
new formula is AWFUL
the original product was perfect. it was lightweight and gave me just enough hold for bouncy curls without frizz. they changed the formulation with absolutely no warning: it's not even the same thing anymore, the original was much more mousse-like. i decided to give it a chance and the first thing i noticed was an AWFUL smell. it smells like cooking grease that someone tried to clean/cover up with lemon pine-sol. the product itself is now a watery, slimy gel that made my hair super frizzy in parts and super sticky in others! curlsmith's volume mousse is infinitely better, and not your mother's mousse is also great for anyone on a budget.

The curl foaming gel does a great job of defining my curls without weighing them down. After I scrunch out the crunch my hair feels super soft. I also get nice volume after diffusing, which is great since I have low-density hair.
