Most Helpful Positive Review Very Nice File I have had my own crystal nail file for about three years now, but it was one that I bought at my local Christmas tree shop for about four or five dollars. At the time with my ignorance I thought every crystal was the same; but I was wrong. Now I have come to realize that their are fakes painted in acrylic while others are slightly carved and washed in a chemical base. After looking at many reviews and videos I decided my self for a nail tek crystal file. The one I currently have is a cheap, thick, and painted in acrylic file. This one though is amazing!! I have small nails and I prefer crystal glass files over anything else because my nails are thin and they chip and break. This file is from authentic crystal/ glass and it is nice and thin so it will fit in the grooves of my nails. It's durable and it doesn't wear out. The only cons is that it does have a cheap casing from cheap plastic and the price is a bit to high. Other than that the file is perfect for me. I couldn't be happier with the purchase!!
Most Helpful Critical Review Gets the Job Done I've been trying to grow my nails out and heard about the wonders of the crystal nail file. The price was a little higher than I expected, but I've had it for a couple weeks with only minor issues. Sometimes if I don't hold the file right, it feels like my nails are going down a chalkboard. However it does do wonders and leaves the tips of my nails smooth. Another issue is that the nail file case itself doesn't open properly. There is a silver piece inbetween the top and bottom of the case. When opening, the bottom part comes out instead of the top. Like if you had a sword and when you tried to take it out the top of the case stayed on revealing the sword instead of pulling it out the proper way.

I have used theirs nail file for years.
not the best glass file 2
amw from nc
this was my first glass file so I had nothing to compare it to. I liked the case and the result of using it, but it took FOREVER to file my nails using this and I had to rinse it thoroughly several time per hand or it would be too dusty to work. thank god it broke, otherwise I never would have known how much better the Holo taco one is d:
Great unless you drop it 4

I loved this file while it lasted. It makes a smooth nail with no ragged edges. The only problem is don't drop this thing because it will break.
Love 5

This nail file is really nice and gives me an even file.
I love this nail file! 5

I've had this for awhile now (maybe a year), and use it often. I love that it doesn't leave my nails jagged after filing them. I definitely had sticker shock when I bought it, but I needed to add a few bucks for free shipping and wanted to try a crystal nail file. Now, I think it's going to be a stocking stuffer for my friends and family this holiday season (even though it's expensive).

Just started using when recommended by my dermatologist for splitting and chipping nails. So far so good!

Broke 1

Worked great until it snapped after a month. The lid on the case doesn't stay on well.
Shattered the first time I used it 3

I bought this to quickly replace my Holo Taco glass file that I broke. The first time I used it, it broke from the force of my nails pushing on it. Really poor quality. I'm reordering my Holo Taco file.

I got this nail file to replace the emery boards I would normally use. I was so excited I purchased a travel size and the regular sized one because I heard how wonderful glass nail files are.Unfortunately, i regret this purchase. I have used this file only a couple of times and it isn't even sharp enough to file fake thin nails. It takes a long! Time to file regular nails. Depending on your nail type I would say skip this purchase. Even if it works at first, i noticed within only two or three uses the file gets smooth and doesn't work as well. I wanted to love it, but it is definitely a pass.
Was looking for the cheaper file 5

Was looking for the cheaper file to replace one that was disappointing. After using this, I realized I already had the cheaper file. This works.
I regret buying this 2

Cheap quality and a waste of money.
Poor quality for the price 1

This file was only effective for one use. It's worn down and useless now. This was replacing my 10$ glass file from Sally's beauty (which still worked after a year, but I dropped it so it broke) so disappointed with this file.
awesome, brokenwhen i dropped it have to buy another one 5

I Only Use Crystal Nail Files 5

My older sister gave me a crystal nail file about five years ago as a gift - it was a small purse size. I fell in love with it because my nails quit splitting/cracking by more than 75%! Emery boards were tearing up my nails, I discovered, and crystal files seem to keep them smooth, so I have less tearing/damage.
Great purchase 5

Emery boards are flimsy and I've never liked the feel of using one.
The crystal nail file is gentler than an emery board, firm, and leaves a smooth edge.
I also purchased this nail file for my daughter-in-law.
Always wanted one 5
Bluebelle from Indy
This is so nice and gentle to use on the nails. Easily files a little at a time so it's easy to control how much you file off at a time. The file is supposed to last a long time which is so much better than an Emory board. It has its own case to protect it, which is nice. I have very fragile nails and this treats them gently and with kindness.
Quality Has Diminished 1
Shell from East Coast
I've been using this file for years and years. Recently bought a new one and was shocked at how much the quality has diminished (yet it sells at same price). The file has no grip to speak of, the width and durability is lowered, even the case the file comes in-which had been really nice in the past-is shoddily made. This once great nail file is now unusable.

Crystal nail files are the best! I'll never go back to the cheap gritty files. I loved that this one came with a case. Five stars!
100% worth it 5

I always struggled with peeling nails and always used the cheap foam and cardboard nail files. I bought this on a whim and now I am never looking back. This crystal file is super effective but gentle and my nails have ceased the annoying peeling. Splurge for this. You will not regret it.
Great file for natural nails 5

I had just soaked off my gel nails to take a break from the salon and was looking for a gentle file for my brittle and peeling nails. This one is great
Inventory issue 4
Liz from Phoenix, AZ
Been carrying this in my purse for years. It's the best for catching problems with my problem nails on the spot. Reduces peeling.
The case fell apart after several years of use, and I finally dropped it, breaking off the handle. So you have to be careful, and understand that the case won't last forever.
