Found my best combination - natural, but better
I have always had the type of nails that have thick, over grown cuticles that split, are weak and just won't hold polish for more than a day. They looked terrible and embarrassing. I've tried just about everything until I discovered the Good as New tinted ridge filler and decided to try it. I agree that 1 coat looks the most natural and 2 is a little too much color for the look I want, but it is still good. I still had trouble with top coats not lasting, but with the combination of Essie's gel top coat in matte finish, my nails look very natural, but better, and are protected. More importantly, the polish lasts for days! That NEVER happened for me before. Most people won't relate to this, but I bowl a lot and need to wear a tape strip on my thumb. Previously, anything on my nails would come off first time, so I would have to keep re-doing my thumb. Not with this combo - it really stays. A few of my friends have commented on how nice my nails look now. Thanks Essie
Perfect nails in a bottle
I've never written a review for nail polish but as soon as this dried down enough to pick up my phone, I needed to share this asap! Wow this is just stunning! Its a demi matte perfect "your nail but better" shade. I want to get one for my mom immediately, she would love this. It dried down so fast, its really smoothing. WOW, just overall wow!
Perfect in between
After 10+ years I stopped doing gel manis because the damage and the upkeep was too much. I get a regular mani with long wear polish about once a month- it typically lasts 7-9 days. I was looking for something easy to do myself to keep my nails looking finished in between manis, and this is perfect. I'm terrible at painting my own nails especially with my left hand, this is so thin and easy to apply, the color is so neutral and sheer so you don't have to be perfect and it still looks really nice. It is a very matte finish, which I don't like so I put the Essie gel like top coat over it and my nails look beautiful and shiny, they feel really durable too. I hope Essie will consider making more sheer colors- this works far better for me than OPI nail envy. But I do love that OPI makes a few shades.
Beauty filter for your nails
When my nails are brittle after press ons, these just fill in all of the lines and make my nails look healthy again. Love it
Miracle product
Essie is my favorite brand, and this product is over the top. I've never bought a base coat or ridge filler that has handled this well. I can add an extra coat and within minutes it will be dry and not gummy. This is the ideal product to cover your nails between dip and/or gel. I like it so much I would buy multiple bottles and hoard it in case Essie stopped making it.
