Step 1. Define a Cupid's Bow: Draw an X at the top center of lips.
Step 2. Outline Outer Lips: Slightly over draw at your natural lip line.
Step 3. Contour Inside Lips: Softly use liner in your lip corners and center of lip curves.

I bought pitch black but when I put it on the lipstick wouldn't stick that well and wound up being fairly light as I couldn't get enough on to be even and fully black. It also came off immediately when I put my lips together.

I typically buy Kylie lip kits for the lip liner to use as a lipstick but they are def over priced so I wanted to try this liner because the ink crayons by Maybelline are amazing. Sadly this smeared everywhere and also did not last after a few sips from a can of water, complete opposite from the ink crayons. Would not recommend
