This is a very overwhelming scent and yes very old lady like. It is strong and spicy and sweet that if sprayed too much can make people nauseous. I get why people receive compliments, and it is because this perfume will get noticed before one even walks in the door. So yes this perfume gets noticed....

I love Chanel no 5. Not the eau de perfume that came out in 1986. But the original Perfume which is very expensive. It is what my mother use to wear and now I cannot buy that anywhere anymore. The most famous perfume in the world is gone! So I tried this Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. It's awful and gave me a headache. All the other watered down Chanel versions for teenagers are not for me. I will be jumping ship and looking for another brand of perfume. There is so much out there. Bye Chanel.

Chanel #5 has been my signature fragrance since my 20s—I'm now a sprite 74. I received a bottle of this perfume for Christmas. In my estimation, too much is going on with this fragrance such that it's difficult for me to determine the overall aroma. Plus, only one friend made a comment which was unfavorable. The scent fades within a few hours, plus the price is ridiculous. But everything is now but that's not an issue. The same goes for #5. So, testing L'ancome fragrances because the products are much more affordable, and bottles will look pretty on my makeup table. So, farewell Chanel. You've served me well. It's time for a perfume makeover to match my trendy, new do.. Thank you for reading my comments. Have a pleasant day.
