Super feminine, girly scent with sophistication.

I got a sample for my honest review. I love Chanel Chance and Gabrielle, however I struggle with the signature fragrances of Chanel. What I get from this fragrance is a burst of sweet and tart fruits on first spray. When I saw violet and iris I was worried because usually those notes in a fragranc...e irritates my nose, causes a headache and smells more mature and powdery. I am honestly shocked to say there is a soft, powdery facet on the drydown but it is sexy and does not irritate my nose or my head. This is not your mom or grandma's powdery scent at all. This is clean, bright and soft all at the same time. This scent mellows down to a iris and rose scent and while the cedar is there it makes it more warm and sensual scent. They blended this extremely well. I wore this scent in 60 degree weather as well as 78 degree weather where I was sweating and I never got a headache or felt sick although this performs best in warmer weather and projects more but much more softly than Chanel no 5 for example. I love that this is a more soft projection because it makes it okay to wear at work. The projection is there but this is not a beast mode fragrance where it enters the room before you do, this is a soft, pretty feminine if you sit next to me you can smell me deal. My husband gave me a hug and said I smelled beautiful which does not happen often and he did not know I was trying this perfume out and he was surprised when I said this was Chanel as he associates Chanel with his mother and grandmother despite me owning and loving Chance and Gabrielle- which he also is surprised is Chanel. Eau Splendide is much softer than Chance and Gabrielle and much more airy. A scent that stays close to you and makes you feel gorgeous. Beautiful, feminine, girly and young smelling but still sophisticated. I smile when I smell myself and my mood is uplifted. If Chanel fragrances intimidate you, remind you of your mother or you feel they are strong please try Eau Splendide. If you are already a Chanel fan also try Eau Splendide my mother who wears Chanel no 5 since the 1980s asked me what I had on and will be getting this for mother's day. Yes it is marketed for younger women and it definitely is a young, feminine scent but it can and is enjoyed by all ages from my 18 year old niece to my 63 year old grandmother. I cannot wait to wear this to Easter and purchase this scent for my niece's graduation(requested on things they would like).
