Most Helpful Positive Review G A very good non-irritating (in-part???) all-in-one chemical sunscreen w/ creamy texture that dries to invisible shine-free finish. The orange tube is actually opaque, not translucent as depicted in the pics, which is good for preventing the content from degradation. It contains a very impressive mix of plant-derived antioxidants, as well as several fermented yeast extracts, and algae & plankton extract. It seems to offer a similar if not superior formula to the Force supreme/Blue therapy line from Biotherm, judging solely by the ingredient list. In particular, its texture feels nearly identical to the Force Supreme gel (not offered in US). It appears to rely on microfine titanium dioxide to make good on the claim of protection against visible blue light, however, of which the concentration needs further clarification. The concentration of ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate is likely TOO LOW to produce any visible result. The product bearing the same name sold in EU has the SPF rating of 40. Very curious if they have the same formulation, aka off-label unapproved chemical filters.
Most Helpful Critical Review Product Claims Not Visible, Made Skin Oily While I really enjoy the packaging (no tubes!), I really was left a bit nonplussed with this. One of the things that I was looking forward to was the fact that it's for all skin types with the exception of the driest. This made me believe that it was more on the sheer side of things. While it isn't overly thick, it's certainly not the thinnest (aside from a serum) product I've used. While I've never really been a fan of the Oil Control Mattifying Moisturizer, simply because it's JUST that (a basic moisturizer), I feel I get better results from it than I do the new Super Energizer.
Much like the men's Anti-Age product, I do notice that I get much oilier – and faster – with this new product. In addition, many of the claims didn't come true for me. In fact, my skin looks BETTER with just the Oil Control Mattifying Moisturizer.
In addition, I'm really not sold on the somewhat gimmicky verbiage. First, this seems to be one of the longest product descriptions in the Clinique men's lineup of products. And while I do enjoy reading descriptions, I don't much care for "fluff." The constant use of the word "technology" is a bit overdone, and shielding against dust and pollen?!" Those issues, coupled with the "blue light" references, are just a bit much for my liking – and even turned me off more when the product didn't exactly deliver as expected.
Of note, Clinique has recently started adding the ingredient lists to all of their products on Clinique.com (thank you!). So I found it odd that they decided NOT to do that with this product but just listed "Key Ingredients" and of course "Technology" (rolling my eyes).
In the end, I'm going to wait for March 2019, as their "Sneak Peek" section says a new product with BOTH vitamins C & A will be released. FINALLY -- a product with vitamin a (retinol)! Clinique pulled ALL of their retinol-based products over the years and I don't know why! It's certainly a proven ingredient for EFFECTIVE skincare.

Totally recommend it, my husband loves it and uses it every day. Skin looks great and has some sun protection.
Best SPF product for guys 5
Albert from El Paso
This product makes amazing things on us. It helps to protect from UV sun rays and it is perfect for running outside. It does not have any shine at all which I like the most.
It's alright... 2

It is very moisturizing which is nice, however maybe an hour into wearing it begins to peel off in white flakes and feels greasy on the skin. I really wanted to love it but Will definitely not be buying again. Back to trying new spf moisturizers, because this wasn't it.

First off, this really is just a sunscreen for my skin. I use the deep hydrating 72 hr moisturizer in the morning before I put this on for skin protection. I think this is a really good sunscreen option for day-to-day use especially on days when you are mostly going to be inside working. I use a higher SPF anytime I am working in my yard or outside exercising. For day-to-day use, it is a great option because it is light and absorbs very quickly. You don't feel any caking, No breakouts, and my skin does look fresh when I put this on.
Nice structure. It doesn't leave oily feeling 4

I have purchased this product for my boyfriend. He uses it every morning before his moisturizer. He has Oily combination skin and this product does not make it oily by any means.
New AM Routine! 5

I love this product for all of its benefits and the easy to use packaging. It is my moisturizer of choice in the morning after I cleanse. I usually add in the Vitamin C Booster and it makes me look and feel refreshed without feeling heavy or greasy. One and done! Grooming made easy. I wish this tube was clear so I knew when to get another bottle but it might be to protect the ingredients.
Very good 5

I received it as a sample from a purchase I made. It feels good in skin and it is not oily
Great SPF without Oily Look 5
Jake M from Ventura, California
I love this moisturizer. I still use it over Dramatically Different Gel (I have never tried it just on its own) but so far it seems like even with 25SPF it protects well. I have a convertible and have yet to have a sunburn on my face. There is no tinting in this, but it does not have a white sheen to it.
Good for women too! 4
Fengziyan from Califor
I really like this product because it is not greasy and it has a very nice amount of antioxidants. And I like that it is in a pump bottle and not a jar. I only wish the spf was higher but this is still a great sunscreen.
I love it! 5

I actually just re-ordered this for the second time. I love this product. I think it's super lightweight and after application you can't even tell it's on your face. It's definitely helped replenish moisture and provides a minimal amount of sunscreen which is good. Also I haven't broken out with this product and it's fragrance free which is nice!
Lightweight and great for oily skin 5
Jon from Charlotte, NC
I have very oily skin and this helps my skin stay hydrated without looking really shiny. I can tell my skin doesn't break out as much when I use it regularly also. Has a very light feel and scent. With a beard I can get away with one using 1 pump so it last awhile.
My husband loves this! 5

I got a sample with one of my orders and he asked me to purchase him the full size. My husband never asks for me to spend money at ulta😂. He is a welder and it helps his face not get so burned and dried out.
Lightweight hydrator, too low SPF 4
Ana, P. from Santa Clara, CA
I don't believe skincare is necessarily men or women specific, so when I received this Super Energizer Anti-Fatigue Hydrating Concentrate from Clinique as a mini free sample, I tested it out. The mix of antioxidants makes this a great concentrate for daytime use. The sun protection is very low (SPF 25), but paired with a primer and powder with SPF it provided enough sun protection for minimal sun exposure. Although said to be fragrance free, I did find that the concentrate has a hint of citrus / grapefruit scent (which oddly seems more gender neutral, borderline feminine, than masculine to me). The texture is lightweight and the concentrate absorbs fast in the skin, spreads fast and it's not tacky, I can see it as a texture men would like. For my combination skin it provided enough hydration.
Well Balanced Moisturizer 5
AKman from Madison, WI
After Dermologica discontinued their men's line, I was hard pressed to find a moisturizer that was nourishing, non-greasy and wasn't heavy all with an appropriate SPF. Thank you Clinique for filling the void!
Husband Loved It 5

Took the sample for my husband and was surprised that he loved it. Love the way that it instantly gave a glow to his face. Woll definitely have it for keeps.

It is too greasy. My dad doesn't like it. Want a more light weight product
Cliniques Best Daytime Moisturizer! 5
SkyJet from Irvine, CA
Sunscreen is VITAL for daily living! Clinique comes through with this well packaged product. It is lightweight, yet provides enough hydration for those individuals with Normal to Oily skin. If you have dry skin, apply this on top of another preferred moisturizer for better coverage and feel. My only complaint is the SPF protection being under 30. However, if applied as suggested, the product shall suffice to offer complete protection for up to 5 hours of intense sunlight. Great for everyday wear!

My man doesn't want to use anything on his face, but steals my face cream in the winter when it gets too dry. I got him this as he has normal to slightly oily skin, and he just told me he actually like it very much and to buy it again! That's saying a lot!
Nice sunscreen 4
JohnC15 from Tennessee
So admittedly I was under the impression that this was a gel-based solution like the Maximum Hydrator gel. Actually this is a cream based lotion. Overall I'm pleased with it, and the fact that it is SPF is great. I will likely continue to use the gel routinely and just use this when I'm going to be outside for extended periods. Unlike some of the other review, I don't notice that it is "sticky" or creates a sheen. I'm pleased with it.
LOVE this product 4
JJ18 from Atlanta,GA
I use this product every AM before my moisturizer. It really awakens your skin and makes it kinda glow. I have Oily combination skin and this does not make it oily by any means! I love the antioxidant power and that it has a sunscreen in it! Only thing I wish is that it the caffeine in it was STRONGER.
My new favorite sunscreen 5
John from Minneapolis
This is a smartly formulated daily sunscreen that those who pay close attention to ingredients will appreciate. It has minimal but effective UV filters paired with natural antioxidants and skin-calming ingredients. My face is irritated by some sunscreens but not at all by this one. I like that it doesn't have oxybenzone or octinoxate.
If you're just looking for a daily moisturizer and don't care about SPF, there are cheaper products out there for that. The appeal of this product is smart sun protection for daily use.
I think the product's consistency on my skin is perfect and haven't had any problems with that like other reviewers have described.
The price is high but, in my opinion, worth it for a well formulated product like this.
Sticky 3
MikeC from US
It is not for summer, you may try it on winter time because of its stickiness. I rather put on cream than using this gel-cream.
Reduces Puffiness Love it 5

It's pricey but worth it. My current on lasted 6 months. It takes a few applications for it to take effect but you will notice a difference shortly. As a guy all the Clinique for men products awesome. I have them all. Ulta for guys is a must.
Super De-Satisfyer ! 1
CliniqueGuy from Athens
I use Clinique for men for about 20 years and this is the worst thing I have ever put on my face! My skin type is Dry to Dry Combination and after cleansing I applied only one pump it made me look like I was working in the mines without washing for days ! My face was so shiny and sweaty that I couldn't go out of the house like that ! I returned to Clinique counter and I got the Maximum Hydrator activated water-get concentrate instead !
