At face value, this is one of the better formulated sunscreens on the market as far as it has no denatured alcohol, fragrance, or pore-clogging ingredients. I found the formula to feel really soothing on the skin and didn't notice any significant breakouts or irritation. My face feels comfortable ...after application. I will say as someone who searches for fragrance free products, the smell of this is not appealing. It does dissipate almost immediately, but while I apply it, its almost like a hold your breath kind of thing. If you want the tropical/coconut/banana experience of some sunscreens you wont get it from this. But I sacrifice fragrance for healthy skin, so i appreciate they didn't add any. It also wears nicely alone, or under makeup, although it did slightly sheer out my foundation and i needed to add a second coat to some areas, but after everything settled it was glowy, dewy, and didn't slide around. One preference is i wish it didn't have the sparkles in it, although i understand its supposed to be shimmery "golden hour" is the name, but i found it to be not my favorite finish-although beneath makeup it is nice-if i wore it alone in the dead of winter i might be mistaken for a twilight trope. Pale and shimmery. However, i will say even though i didnt like the shimmer, several people complimented how glowy my skin was, so i think it was working for me better than i thought. Overall, I think this is a good formula and worth trying if you're open ended and looking for products that perform for healthy skin and that aren't gimmicky. I took one star off because of my personal preference of i wish there wasnt the shimmer but its not a deal breaker, and as a warning that it has a strong odor that does dissolve quickly (within a minute) so just beware of that.
