Shake vigorously. Hold can 8-10 inches away and spray onto roots. Massage thoroughly with fingertips and brush through. Style as usual.

Impossible to open. The answer on site does not work as it is impossible to twist the nozzle because there is insufficient space for any kind of grip on the nozzle.

We are sorry you are having difficulty releasing the safety mechanism that is located inside the inter circle that surrounds the actual sprayer. As you look inside the circle you will notice a small plastic dot located on the backside of the sprayer head. Most importantly, we recommend you turn the opening of the sprayer away from your body and face, hold the can with both hands, and towards the back side of the sprayer where the small plastic dot is located, use your thumb to depress down and you should hear a slight snap as the safety mechanism is released. I love it and the scent, I've repurchased a few times, only problem is that every time I do, it stops spraying anything before the bottle is empty. I don't get it. I'm not dropping it or using it improperly, it just stops coming out. I'm not getting the full bottle usage that I pay for. I wish I could get one that's fully functional for the whole bottle.
