Love the Brand, But This One Just Didn't Work For

I really don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for this brand, because I've tried so many of their other products and I genuinely love them. Not Your Mother's usually works wonderfully for my hair, so I was honestly really hopeful and excited to try this dry shampoo. Unfortunately, this pa...rticular product just wasn't the right match for me at all. I'm not completely sure what ingredient or part of the formula caused it, but as soon as I applied it, my hair changed texture in a really uncomfortable way. Instead of feeling refreshed, soft, and clean, my hair became extremely tangled and difficult to manage. It didn't just feel a little stiff — it actually started to feel matted, almost like the strands were sticking together. It reminded me of when something glue-like or heavy gets in your hair and it just clumps up. Brushing through it was nearly impossible, and no matter what I tried, it stayed knotted and coated. I did try giving it multiple chances because I wanted it to work. I tried using less product, using more, brushing right away, letting it sit before brushing… but each time I had the same result: stiff, sticky-feeling, matted hair that felt weighed down instead of refreshed. I don't want to say it's a "bad" product, because I know everyone's hair is different and I've seen that a lot of people really like it. I truly appreciate this brand and still love so many of their other items. This one just didn't agree with my hair type personally, and that's okay. So overall, while I still love Not Your Mother's as a brand, this specific dry shampoo unfortunately wasn't for me. My hair ended up feeling more tangled and matted than clean, so it's not something I'd repurchase — but it may still work great for someone else with a different hair type.
