- Pull off the cap and twist open the nozzle applicator.
- Wet hair and scalp. Apply first in your hand to activate lather or directly to your scalp and scrub gently for 2 minutes.

I wash my hair once a week. I use this clarifying shampoo first before applying hydrating shampoo. It leaves my hair squeaky clean which is why it's so important to use a hydrating shampoo afterwards.

I have straight hair, somewhat fine, with a very smooth cuticle in an oily scalp. Okay, now that that's out of the way. This stuff is amazing for really cleaning the scalp and the hair. You really don't need much of it to get things clean. It is the most effective clarifying shampoo I've ever used, and I only use it once every couple of weeks max. Keep in mind I wash my hair every other day because it just looks so darn greasy. I personally think it's too strong and too expensive to use on a weekly basis. You'd probably jack up your scalp that way. I have a love-hate relationship with the packaging though. I like the nozzle applicator for getting straight to the scalp and not wasting shampoo on the hair (I assume this is awesome for gals with braids or locs as well). However, my hands aren't super strong and I have chronic pain, which makes the packaging very hard to squeeze. When I use more of it I will probably have to remove the nozzle which means I will effectively lose the benefit of that piece as well.
