On the bottom of every product box, we list a POA (period after opening) symbol. It should look like a little open jar with a number and the letter M (months). This will help you determine how long each product is good for after opening. Anyone can use this serum although ceramides are especially beneficial to those with a compromised barrier from things like exposure to extreme environments (hot/cold), over exfoliation, irritation, or sun damage. Additionally, around the age of 30, the extracellular matrix composition naturally changes and produces a lower percentage of ceramides, cholesterol, and free fatty acids. As a result the skin barrier is weakened and more prone to dryness and irritation. Lactic acid is often thought of as an exfoliant, but it’s actually a multifunctional ingredient that performs differently depending on the amount used. We use a small amount of lactic acid (under 1%) in our ceramide barrier serum and its main function is a pH adjuster, which helps with the overall stability of the formula. If lactic acid is used at a higher percentage, then it typically functions as an exfoliant. Since lactic acid is in our ceramide barrier serum at a very low percentage, the serum can be used comfortably with other actives. I've been using this product regularly (at night I'm about 2/3 through my bottle) and follow the instructions. I use the raspberry toner (which is amazing for breakouts btw!), let it dry a tad and then apply the ceramide barrier serum followed by the polypetide moisturizer. I honestly haven't notice...

im currently on my 3rd bottle of this and i even put my friend onto it as well. this completley helped my compromised skin barrier reducing acne and calming down my face. genuinley saved my skin and helped my friend as well super gentle and truly helps speed up the recovery process if you are healing from an old pimple or redness. if i could get sponsered by this company i could talk all day about how much i love this product.
Nice Serum!
I have sensitve, reactive, acne prone skin and this is a nice serum! It does contain a small amount of lactic acid, which may be the culprit to some burning consumers may experience, but what works for me is hydrating my skin before applying . I use the cocokind magensium spray and then a milky toner like Bubble cosmic silk and it doesnt burn and leaves my face soft and clear.
Not for sensitive skin
I have always loved this brand and never had any reactions to any of their products before. That's why I confidently picked up this serum. My skin is very sensitive and prone to clogged pores, but I've learned to manage it well over the years. However, after using this serum for a week, my pores became extremely clogged, bigger and I started breaking out badly. At first, I thought it might be caused by something else, but after stopping all other products and trying only this serum, it became clear that this was the cause. I'm honestly disappointed, as I adore Cocokind, but unfortunately this serum did not work for my sensitive, reactive skin.
Amazing for acne prone girlies

I've only been using this serum for about two weeks now, but there has been noticeable improvement in my skin. I struggle with breakouts, post acne marks, redness, and texture. The redness is greatly reduced when I use this serum. In addition, my skin seems to have fewer breakouts which I attribute to the balancing aspect of this serum. I get cystic acne which is very inflamed, the serum helps reduce the inflammation and calm down my skin. I've tried other serums with a similar purpose to this one, most recently the naturium barrier bounce serum. The naturium serum immediately broke me out and was too heavy for my skin but this one is perfect. I look forward to see what other changes this serum will bring me and I will be repurchasing!

Ive been using this product for over three years and I dont plan on stopping anytime soon. I absolutely love this product, Ive been through at least five bottles. Makes my skin soft and really helps with any sort of barrier problems Im having. Love it in the summer for post beach skincare and for nights I use tretnoin.
