Prep nails.
Lift the brush out of the bottle and wipe the polish off one side of the brush. Paint a very thin coat, ensuring there is no polish on the skin or cuticles. Cure for 2 minutes. Repeat with a second coat and cure if desired. Finish with Gel Top Coat and cure.
For the neatest polish application (especially with your non-dominant hand!), grab The Poppy (sold separately) to help stabilize your non-dominant hand. For the best, longest-lasting gel mani results, use the Olive & June Deluxe Gel Mani System (sold separately).

I previously gave this a negative review. After using a base coat and really taking my time to clean up my edges i have no issues with lifting. I was even able to extend my nail using a dyi nail form. It looks and feels like my natural nail. I wish Ulta sold O&J's nail forms or any for that matter. ...

in the beginning, I loved this! I didnt purchase the full mani system so I had to get a little creative when it came to the extensions but they worked surprisingly well, especially considering my nails were very short. the consistency and color were great! my one issue is that less than a day later...

With practice my nail goals will be achieved. I plan on purchasing more shades.
Popped off in a few days
I am not sure the issue was all the product's fault but I had no luck getting it to stay on my nails. I am going to try using the base coat but definitely was a fail using it without. I also had a horrible time keeping it from flooding into my sidewalls. Even with a tiny amount it would flood my sidewalls if i tried getting it close with a detail brush. I will keep trying. But for now I won't be purchasing again. I love O&J's other polishes both gel and regular. So im definitely surprised the builder gel was a fail.

I am a true O&J girlie through and through, however I was deeply disappointed in the builder gel. After following the instructions, watching the video, and doing all of the prep correctly it still popped off my nail (completely) within 24 hours. I didn't use the peel off base coat either, so I was surprised to say the least. SO disappointed!
