Love it for my teen
I bought this product for myself when the fade gel was out of stock. Truthfully it did nothing for me. However, I tried it on my preteen that has acne and it has worked wonders——her skin is clear after a few weeks. Works much better than what the dermatologist prescribed.

It's just OK! It actually burns a little after application… I surely wish the Advanced Dual Fade Gel with Hydroquinone would make a comeback because this Plumping Serum doesn't work nearly as well. Nice gel skin barrier that's it! Fading any dark marks or blemishes… FORGET ABOUT IT! I check the site...

Great as a base before makeup
To be honest I wasn't 100% sure if this was working at first. Then over time I realized the days that I used it before doing my makeup, the texture of my skin looked much better than the days I didn't. It's a nice formula and doesn't irritate my skin.

I started using black opal products back in the 90s. In two weeks my skin would look flawless. I have looked everywhere and apparently the fade gel that is probably the BEST Product black opal could have ever made has been discontinued. Sadly to say this was the best affordable product for our people and for whatever reason we are left with this serum that burns my face. I'm just saying Dr. Burgess, how you gonna leave us out here like this. Please bring back your old products, this new stuff not really working for a brother. I'm trying to get my shine back on. Or if you have something in your office let us know. We don't mind paying, I know I don't. The fade gel is worth way more than what it sold for. Please let us know something?

Ordered this from your website because I couldn't locate the old fade gel products on this site; nor find it in stores. This new brigjhtening and plumping serum does not agree with my skin because it is causing bumps to appear on my face. Also, I don't see any brightening benefits nor difference other than it causing my skin to produce dry patches and bumps. I have been using Black Opal products since 1995 and I'm unhappy that this compnay has decided to stop production on the products which got you where you are. It's a shame I will have to look for other brands of fade products. I really did love BP products, but this item doesn't suit my needs. Please bring back the old products because they did work for years on my skin. I never had any issues w/the original products. I didn't want to even give this serum one star, but had no other choice.
