Begin by placing the mascara wand at the base of lashes, then hold for a few seconds to set. Wiggle the wand in a back-and-forth motion and repeat to build. Use the wand vertically to apply to the lower lash line.

I've been using this mascara daily for about a week and overall, I really like it. It gives my lashes a nice boost in volume without feeling heavy or crunchy, and it layers pretty well without clumping—as long as I don't go overboard. The wand is easy to use and gets into the corners nicely. I've had no irritation or smudging during a normal day, though there was a bit of flaking when I wore it in really humid weather. It's not super dramatic, but it makes my lashes look naturally fuller and more awake. That said, it doesn't hold a curl very well on its own, so I'd definitely recommend using a lash curler if you want more lift. Still, it feels good on, looks clean and defined, and washes off easily at night. For a more natural, everyday look, I think it's a really solid pick. Definitely one I'd reach for again! I ordered the primer & mascara set and I am VERY disappointed. This mascara is extremely clumpy and it flakes really bad. Not sure if it was old when it was shipped to me, but it is so bad, waste of money.
miss the mark
I got this as a GWP. Tarte's Maneater is my go-to, and it's not as volumizing. I don't think it's clumpy, but rather crumbly. I tried using it twice, with a lash separator, and I ended up using another mascara on top of it to fix its evenness and get the crumbs out. It just felt like a thin application. After a third attempt, I just chucked it.
Clumpy and fallout
It gets dried out very fast and tons of fallout over my face. I love volume but it also makes my lashes clump together, and makes them appear shorter than they are somehow.

From the first swipe, I noticed how lightweight yet volumizing it is—no clumping, no flaking, and best of all, no stinging or redness. It's gentle, thanks to the plant-based ingredients, but still gives my lashes that full, lifted look I love. I can wear it all day without discomfort, which is rare for me. I also appreciate that it's cruelty-free and clean, so I feel good using it. It gives me bold lashes without sacrificing comfort or eye health, and that's exactly what I've been searching for.
