Wonderful scent

Sadly, A Harsh Shadow of Its Former Glory
This was gifted to me back in 1985 when it first came out. It truly was "Beautiful." Light, airy floral with amazing staying power. Tons of compliments and I wore it for almost 10 years straight. Now? Well, like many of EL's beloved vintage fragrances, they've reformulated it. Now, IMO, it is highly overpowering, excessively powdery, leaves a chemical smell on my clothes (even after several washings) and is just not who I want to be anymore. What a shame they've ruined a true classic. So it goes. Returned.

I am very pleased with the original Beautiful fragrance. I get compliments when I wear it; it goes well with my body chemistry. I am SO GLAD that after 40 years I can still purchase it.
