Holo Taco Base Coat

I would have given this five stars cuz of Polish is amazing but I received two shattered bottles which I only noticed one initially and I have tried to contact them about the second one and they refuse to contact me back so now I don't have a base coat cuz it got shattered in the mail cuz they put all the nail polishes in one bag so they banged against each other and I didn't want to clean it up till later and then I cut my finger on a piece of glass and I tried to message them to tell them I didn't notice that the base coat cuz it's clear was shattered too cuz I didn't open the bag cuz I didn't want to deal with the glass and I never got a response so now I'm out of base coat and I cut my finger on shattered glass cuz they could not wrap them individually so just be wary if you're buying more than one.

I thouroughly prep my nails before applying nail polish. Manicure, wipe nails with acetone or alcohol before base coat. For some reason when I wear this base coat my nails start chipping in about 4 days. While usually my nail polish stays 7-8 days with other bases. Pretty bummed since it's a pricier product and didn't work for me.

I have used all the popular base coats, Sally Hansen, OPI, etc and always found my nails chipping or peeling after a few days. maybe they'd last a week. this stuff keeps my manicure perfect for 2+ weeks! it keeps me from having to redo my nails every week and it looks great. also 2 coats as a base for a French looks so good

I wear the base coat on its own with 2 to 3 layers. It doesn't look streaky or chip easily. It is the color I've been looking for my whole life! Subtle and beautiful! Covers nail imperfections. 10/10

I'm torn about this product — on one hand (no pun intended) it works and looks great, but on the other, its overall life span inside the bottle seems to be pretty short. I've tried buying multiple bottles and unfortunately, I'm still having the same issue with it getting thick and stringy before it even reaches the halfway mark. I store all of my polishes in a dark, cool environment and I always make sure the cap is on as tight as possible, so my only guess is that it's just the formula itself—which is a real bummer because without factoring in that issue, it would be the perfect base coat. It self levels and hides/blurs your nail line perfectly —and while it didn't help prevent additional staining, the pink tint did help neutralize the stains I already had. Overall, it's a really nice base coat and would have been one of my favorites had it lasted longer. Using thinner did help a bit, but by the next time you go to use it, it's back to being thick and stringy again. With having to add additional thinner each time, it caused it to become streaky. I would only recommend this product if having to buy a new bottle every time it gets to the halfway point doesn't bother you and you can afford it.
