I LOVE these banana clips.
I love these banana clips. I am in my late 30's my hair is thin in texture, sparse in quantity, is thinning, scalp is temperamental and often sensitive. Thankful to find this incredibly comfortable, stylish and practical solution. It effectively holds my hair back in a secure yet easy going fashion....

I wanted to try these out despite the mixed reviews thinking that I might be lucky and not end up with broken clips but no such luck. I wore one to work the day I bought these - never tried a banana clip before, I have shoulder length low-medium density 2C/3A curls and it nicely held all of my hair ...

My go-to lazy hair day clip
I have long, thick, straight hair and dislike tying it up with elastics because they always create weird texture in my hair and cause headaches. These clips are much gentler on my scalp and hair and have never caused unwanted bumps or waves in my hair after use. Hair also looks much fuller and longer when up compared to traditional elastics and scrunchies because of the form of these clips. These are my holy grail for lazy girl hair days.

These work for me. Read some reviews that mentioned them breaking. I haven't had either one break. I have fine hair and they work great.

These are nice but didn't hold my hair well. My hair is very thin though.

I wore one to work the day I bought these - never tried a banana clip before, I have shoulder length low-medium density 2C/3A curls and it nicely held all of my hair back in a fluffy ponytail without pulling. Got home, took it out, set it on my bedside table. The next morning it had somehow sprung apart by itself!? The pin that holds both halves together has nothing holding it in place at all. I'm going to try to fix it, but I'm not confident that the other one isn't gonna just fall apart while I'm wearing it.

Not slick plastic but a matte finish that probably helps with the gripping
