Will this product help with eczema?
- Asked by Mimz
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for your question! The ANUA Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum is designed to calm redness, support skin barrier function, and provide gentle hydration. While it contains ingredients that are generally well-tolerated by sensitive or redness-prone skin, including azelaic acid and hyaluronic acid, it is not a medical treatment for eczema. If you have eczema, we strongly recommend consulting with a dermatologist before introducing new active ingredients into your routine. They can help determine whether this serum is appropriate for your specific skin condition and how to best incorporate it without risk of irritation. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can I use this while using trentinoin?
- Asked by Tatiana
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for your interest in our ANUA Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum. The ANUA Azelaic Acid 10% + Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum can generally be incorporated into a routine that includes tretinoin, as azelaic acid is often well-tolerated and complements retinoid use by helping with redness, pigmentation, and overall skin clarity. However, since both ingredients can potentially cause dryness or irritation—especially when used together - it’s best to: • Start slowly, using the serum on alternate nights or in the morning if tretinoin is applied at night. • Moisturize well to support your skin barrier. • Monitor your skin’s response, and adjust usage if you notice increased sensitivity. As always, consulting with your dermatologist for personalized advice is recommended when combining actives like these. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Is this a good product to tackle hyperpigmentation/dark spots?
- Asked by Verynice
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for your interest in the ANUA Azelaic Acid 10% Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum. This serum is formulated with 10% azelaic acid, a multifunctional ingredient known for its ability to calm redness, improve skin texture, and support a more even skin tone. While it may help with hyperpigmentation over time, its primary strength lies in soothing irritation and reducing visible signs of inflammation — making it a great option for those with sensitive or redness-prone skin. However, for more visible results in fading hyperpigmentation and dark spots, we would recommend trying our ANUA Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Serum. This targeted brightening formula combines niacinamide with tranexamic acid, both well-researched ingredients that work synergistically to reduce dark spots, post-acne marks, and uneven skin tone more effectively. If you’d like help choosing between the two based on your skin type or concerns, feel free to let us know — we’re always happy to assist! Was this answer helpful to you

- Q
I was wondering if this product is fungal acne safe since I'm trying to get rid of my fungal acne.
- Asked by Rina
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for reaching out and sharing details about your skin concerns. The ANUA Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum is formulated to help improve skin texture, uneven tone, and visible redness. It contains 10% azelaic acid, known for its brightening and mildly exfoliating properties, as well as hyaluronic acid, panthenol, and allantoin to support skin hydration and barrier care — which can be beneficial for sensitive and dry/combination skin types. That said, since you mentioned fungal acne, it’s important to note that some ingredients (especially fermented or certain fatty components) may not be well tolerated in such conditions. While azelaic acid itself is often recommended for various skin issues including texture and sensitivity, we advise exercising caution and performing a patch test before full application. For personalized guidance, especially regarding fungal acne, we also suggest consulting a dermatologist. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need further information! Was this answer helpful to you

- Q
Does this work after retinol? Does it work in the morning?
- Asked by Aj
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for your questions! Yes—you can apply this serum after your retinol treatment. We recommend the following order in your nighttime routine: 1. Cleanser → 2. Toner (if any) → 3. Retinol → 4. Azelaic Acid 10% Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum → 5. Moisturizer The hyaluronic acid in the serum will help replenish moisture and soothe any irritation from retinol. It’s safe for daytime use. In the morning, apply it after cleansing (and any vitamin C or hydrating serums), then follow with your moisturizer and a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher to protect your skin. If your skin is very sensitive, you could try applying the azelaic acid serum first to build a calming barrier, then layer on retinol. Just be sure to monitor your skin’s response and adjust as needed. if you have further questions, please feel free to reach out to us!Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can I apply this after/over vitamin c or hydrating serums?
- Asked by violet
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for your question! Yes, you can safely apply the ANUA Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum after your Vitamin C or hydrating serums. Applying from thinnest to thickest texture is generally the best rule of thumb—just make sure to let each layer fully absorb and dry before applying the next. As for the combination of Azelaic Acid and Vitamin C—these two ingredients can actually complement each other well. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that brightens the skin and helps with pigmentation, while Azelaic Acid works to calm redness, fight acne, and even out skin tone. Used together, they can support a brighter, smoother, and more balanced complexion. However, since both can be active ingredients, we recommend introducing them slowly into your routine (especially if you have sensitive skin) and always following with moisturizer and sunscreen in the morning. Let us know if you’d like a sample routine or further guidance—we’d love to help! Was this answer helpful to you

Did not agree with my skin
As I have aged I have begun to get more redness that tends to occur after cleansing. I am always searching for a good product that can calm my skin down. I was able to try the Anua AZELAIC ACID 10 HYALURON REDNESS SOOTHING SERUM. I applied a few drops of the serum to my freshly cleansed face. The...

Fantastic addition to skincare routine
I just turned 40, and have become obsessed with skincare as a mid-life crisis. LOL. Azelaic acid is a gentle active that's generally tolerated very well, it has so many benefits, and this is a particularly nice formula. I would describe this as a watery oil. I frequently use this specific product to provide a little "slip" while using various devices - gua sha, radio frequency, microcurrent (for me, with my Medicube Booster Pro, it seems to conduct as well or better than many conductive gels). It doesn't turn sticky/tacky at all - just absorbs into the skin beautifully, soothes, calms, and plumps. It helps with inflammation/redness (whether from dryness, acne, or rosacea), very gently exfoliates, and protects against free radicals.
Amazing
Has completely gotten rid of my redness and has helped a lot with the dryness of my skin. Its way worth the money and you only need 5 drops of it to work properly! Ive been using it for about 3 months now
A miracle in a bottle
I'm not one to hop on trends but EVERYONE is talking about these Korean skin care lines and with these price points, what did I have to loose. I follow this skin care influencer on IG - Maja - and this girl is on point! It takes a lot for me to follow an influencer but she's a CERTIFIED MEDICAL esthetician and as someone who grew up and works in the beauty industry I know the industry cred that title means. Maja started reviewing these products and this was one item she said would help treat acne scars, redness, rosacea, and cystic acne (all of which I have) so I said "F it" let's try it. Now I sat on this choice for a bit before buying and I wish I did it sooner. The way my skin felt after 1 day of use…..addicted, but after two weeks of use I regret not buying this product sooner. It's so soothing in my face AND, a pleasant surprise, I have an area on my cheek bone where it's showing signs of sun damage - within the first 4 days I noticed the dark spots were lightening, I couldn't believe it. I have combination skin but lean more on the oliy side because of how much I work out and have yet to have any reaction but gratefulness to this product. JUST BUY IT (PERIOD)!
