Holy Grail ✨

I have very thick, very dense, very dry, high porosity Type 4 hair. Recently did the big chop and trying to learn how to take care of my hair without chemical treatments and heat. Keeping my hair moisturized continued to be my biggest battle even with an intense moisturizing and conditioning regimen...

Formula Change - Not good!

There was a long hiatus and now it's back - they took that time to reformulate. There is way more glycerin now (it's moved up to the 2nd ingredient) and it the product is very very sticky. I can barely run it through my kinky/coily hair. The product was thick before but now it is like a solid - way...

This product has changed DRAMTICALLY. It is now the most drying thing you can use on your hair. Either the company has been sold or they are selling us out. The main 2 ingredients use to be castor oil and olive oil. The main ingredient in this new product is now Sunflower oil. Olive oil is 4th on the list. Castor oil is at the very bottom of this list. I will NEVER SUPPORT THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

FORMULA CHANGE

I used this product all the time a few years ago. I went back to it because I needed a heavy moisturizer. the formula is a lot lighter and doesn't seem too keep my hair as manageable as it did before. it sucks that once you find something that works the company changes the formula. hopefully they go back to the original formula.

I've been using this cream for 10 years. Its an amazing product, if you are the target customer for this cream. Its called a heavy cream. The name would suggest…its going to be heavy. Its not for everyone, but its perfect for who it was created for. Without assistance, the slip is nonexistent. The only way I've gotten slip from this product is working it in nearby a steamer. Thats when it really start to move and spread freely. If your hair is constantly dry i would highly suggest trying.

Great for edges

I bought this back in 2017 from another store. Back then, it was a one-and-done product. My type 4, high-porosity hair stayed moisturized for days and was super soft. But now, the product no longer works alone. It's obvious they changed the formula. It used to be creamy and thick but it has been watered down just a bit. If I use it alone, my hair is dry again by the end of the day. It's really disappointing to have something that's been working for years, but now it no longer performs the way it used to. I will still buy it because it has grown my edges and filled in bald spots. However, I can no longer apply it to my lengths.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

There was a long hiatus and now it's back - they took that time to reformulate. There is way more glycerin now (it's moved up to the 2nd ingredient) and it the product is very very sticky. I can barely run it through my kinky/coily hair. The product was thick before but now it is like a solid - way too thick and goopy and again, sticky. It does not smooth into hair well. I know the price of raw ingredients is going up but I wish they would've just made the jar slightly smaller for the same price and keep the winning formula that they had. This stuff is just not good.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
