Loved For Many Years But...

I have used this product and multiple products across the Philosophy brand daily for many years and had almost daily compliments. But here is what I've learned after reading up on a couple of issues. This product, and most others in the Philosophy line contain parabens. These are not good things to... put on your body and let absorb into your system. The shampoo contains sulphates (good for making suds) and will strip the bejebbers out of your hair color. Please take the time to look them up. Philosophy was purchased by Coty in 2010. That's when I started to notice a difference in formulas across the line. Also, in contrast to Philosophy's "give to charity" stance, their published policies regarding animal testing and "cruelty free" status seem wobbly as noted in this press release...30 Dec 2013: Philosophy now states that "before we place a product on the market, we assess it thoroughly to ensure that it is safe for human use and for the environment and that it is compliant with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. we do not perform, nor do we ever commission any third parties on our behalf to perform, animal testing on our products or ingredients." I find this to be very carefully worded. I cannot locate any information other than this carefully worded press release that indicates that Coty/Philosophy products are not, at some point (not just the finished product) tested on animals. Philosophy is likely NOT cruelty-free. I welcome Philosophy or Coty to contact me to prove conclusively otherwise and make definitive public statements stating such that can be corroborated by recognized animal welfare advocate groups.
