Post cleansing, prime the skin with your favorite UBC primer. Next, apply powder. For lighter coverage, apply using dry sponge applicator (included) or Ulta Beauty Collection's Large Powder Foundation Brush #142. Use a damp beauty sponge for creamier, more full coverage.

Better than more expensive brands
My dermatologist recommended I use powder foundation, so I started with Bare Minerals, then moved on to Pur. Both are expensive so I decided to try Ulta since it's more affordable. Ulta Adjustable Coverage Powder Foundation is better than both of the others! It provides better coverage and lasts longer. The only thing against it is that it does crumble easily as other reviewers have mentioned. The first one started crumbling after one week, the second did not crack/crumble at all, and the third (which I just ordered online) arrived already cracked. That is not a deal breaker because I like the foundation so much, but I don't know if I would take it while traveling. I think I'd be risking a mess.
Fair for the price, albeit with some caveats
The formula is beautiful, it's very soft & lightweight, which is my ideal preference for makeup. Neutral ran a bit pink on me, but I'm hard to color match. I have very oily skin and unfortunately am not the best candidate for this formula. I think I will try setting powder on top as my skin looks glossy with oils before the two hour mark of weartime. I really do enjoy this powder, just takes a bit of maneuvering which is worth the price!
If you're neutral, don't even think about it
I recently got this powder foundation. And the consistency is good, but the shade match range is awful. If you're pale or neutral at all, don't even think about buying this foundation because all the shades are either too cool or too warm.
Great powder foundation
This powder foundation never looks cakey. Smooth finish. Easy to apply. It comes with a sponge, but I use a brush. I have tried other powder foundations, but this is a favorite and very well priced.
