First of all, my complexion is a mess. I have facial scars, freckles, and sun damage. I always wanted to have a smooth, flawless finish and I could never achieve that until I did some research and gave this foundation a try. I have tried everything under the sun...Tarte, EVERY drugstore brand imaginable, Clinique, BareMinerals, etc. and none even come close to this one. My skin is average, not too oily, not too dry. It is somewhat sensitive but this foundation has never given me a problem. It goes on beautifully and smoothly and covers imperfections like a dream. It is not cakey, and it does not flake or dry out. Even though it is full coverage it is as light as a feather and a tube of this lasts forever! You only need about 3-5 tiny drops to cover your entire face perfectly, which to me evens out the somewhat higher cost. I am somewhat fair skinned, leaning toward a medium tone and I use Creamy Vanilla in winter and Creamy Tan in summer. I have never been able to find a "tan" shade that didn't look orange, but this one is absolutely perfect. I cannot say enough good things about this foundation. One of my co-workers asked me what kind of makeup I used because she thought my skin was FLAWLESS. Then she saw me after I took my makeup off and was even more amazed at how this foundation perfected my complexion LOL!
Loved the coverage on this but after the second time wearing it I got a huge cystic pimple. I looked at the ingredients and it has petroleum and 2 different oils. I think if you have mature skin that doesn't break out easily you might like this. Also the color selection is pretty lacking. I got the lightest color and it was at least 2 shades too dark. The original double wear is my holy grail foundation and never causes me to break out so I didn't think I'd have any problems with this one.I should have looked at the ingredients before I purchased this.

I have melasma, like bad melasma. I just turned 38 and have had it for probably 10+ years so I've been around the block trying to find something to cover it. I have oily skin and large pores as well, so I totally scored in the good genes Dept. Anyway, when I want to look flawless this is my routine: skincare, light moisturizing/anti-aging primer all over, pore filling primer on cheeks (not nose- it always breaks down too quickly so I just skip it. But pores on my nose look better than separated makeup on it), silicone type setting powder- YES OVER PRIMER, mix this with highlighting primer and apply all over with beauty blender, lightly powder t zone. Boom. Done. Moral of the story, try mixing it with something, serum, moisturizer, bb cream or light foundation for more coverage. On its own I get texture but if I mix it I have a super quick weekend makeup and skip the extra flawless steps.

I have dry skin so I have to be careful with my makeup not showing fine lines. I choose this foundation because it gives me a perfect finish and covers my imperfections with a small amount of product.
In my opinion, this is the best foundation on the market. You must moisturize properly and use the proper primer for your skin type for this to work or it will look too thick. Please ask a professional for advice if your unsure about which primer you will need. You only need a small amount at a time when you apply then blend it out. Use a brush for a more natural look or sponge for more full coverage.

This is the perfect foundation if used correctly! It covers pigmentation, scars, red spots, and broken skin HOWEVER, it's wayyy to heavy and drying for the entire face. Been using this in my kit for years!

I used this make up everyday and I love it because it covers my dark spots

If you are looking for a full coverage, this is it. I have tried others and always seem to come back to this. A little goes a long way and it lasts forever! I can usually make it last a good 8 to 9 months!

This is the best coverage and product I've ever used. I've been buying this for the past two years to cover some blemishes I have on my face. I have used many other expensive products that did not last, this one is worth the money.

I bought this because a friend recommended. I've tried it for two days and I am not a fan. It feels very heavy on my face. I usually wear the Estée Lauder double wear and love it. I will be returning this to buy my regular kind

I prefer a brush application & it did not blend well at all... may work better with a beauty blender

I was so excited to try Estée Lauder as my new foundation but I'm so disappointed with the results... I got a REALLY BAD allergy reaction I had my face hella red and with so many bumps. After a few days with my face all ugly my skin has been breaking out. Estée Lauder should consider changing their formula to stop this because I see I'm not one of few. :/

I have clear, dry skin with some acne scars. My pores are barely visible and usually small. This foundation makes them look huge. It makes my skin look so oily and cakey like I put a pound of makeup on just with a few drops. I have owned many foundations and this one is by far the worst. It seemed to break me out and clog my pores too. I tried using a pore-minimizing primer and that didn't work. Regret ever buying this, ended up throwing it away. It may be good for covering a tattoo or big scars because of the coverage, but if you don't need super intense high coverage then consider looking elsewhere.

This is ok.. I thought I'd try something different than my usual, Becca 24hr, and the coverage is ok but its too thick and gets really cakey, I even tried using moisturizer as I put it on and it helped but not enough.. once I use this up I'm going back to Becca

First time I bought this product and it did nothing it said it would do. Did not cover dark spots and looked like a cheap makeup.

I was looking for something that was comparable to Becca 24hr full coverage and it's pretty similar however I won't be switching to this after I finish I'm going back to Becca which I think the coverage is slightly better

I use this on my decolletage to cover sun damage and on my ankles to cover spider veins. The coverage is only slightly better than another matte foundation I used last summer, which cost less than ten dollars and was much more transfer resistant. This Estee Lauder foundation did rub off on clothes during the day. I would recommend this only for coverage on face where it would not be able to transfer to clothing, or in a lighter shade where transfer would not be so apparent.

I was unsure if I would like this product but I actually love it. It doesn't look cakey and feels lightweight and not gooey. And the coverage is perfect!

This is the best foundation I've ever used. I been using this for 5 years now and I cant live without it. It covers my acne and scars that I have left so good you can't even tell I ever broke out before. It makes your make up look so light and clean and it's the most amazing coverage I've ever seen and it doesn't come off until you take it off!! I've literally taken 12 hour flights with this on and it was still not off.

Best foundation I've ever used. The coverage is amazing and long lasting, even in the heat. Will order again.

I've had many people from Ulta associates to Department store associates try different methods and products to cover the large melasma (hyperpigmentation/hormonal dark patches) on both cheeks. No matter what expensive product, no matter what expensive concealers, or color correction NOTHING covered without a dark shadow peaking through EXCEPT, this foundation. Double Wear Maximum Coverage Camouflage for face and body. I found out about this from a young YouTube mom that had these happen during and after pregnancy. This has been a game changer. If I had to use layers of color correction and layers of concealers, I would just give up and my self esteem would just take a major hit. I had people ask me "what is that on your face", Now wearing this, people say "You have beautiful skin"!! other great thing is, Estee Lauder has a color match machine. If you go into a department store you can get an exact match for yourself and they have a matching compact powder. Stays in place all day.

the best product I found after 10 years trying all types of foundations

If you want to paint on a brand new canvass and start fresh, this is the foundation for it.
However a few hours in and you'll see crinkle and wrinkles that you never knew could exist it dries your face out so bad.
And if you are prone to breakouts.. whew this one will have you crying. From break out aftermath.. (It did me anyway..)

To cover dark spots in my complexion.

I have this foundation in the color Rich caramel which is too dark for me but the next color up is way too late for me so as usual I have to buy two foundations because the color range is it expansive enough I wish they would come out with a formula just as much coverage as this but without transferring I wore this makeup out to dinner I looked beautiful but my coat with staying with makeup from my chin granted it still was full coverage on my face and you couldn't see all the hyperpigmentation scars on my chin I didn't like the dirty Brown look on my coat that's the only reason why I couldn't give it five stars
SD from Seattle, WA
I use this and mix it with another foundation. It's super matte and very long wearing, doesn't transfer at all. I love it and have been using it for about 10 years now! (I'm only 26!)
